I stayed here because of the location, easy access to LAX, parking, wifi, close to beaches, good area. This is a very basic motel, if you are looking in this price range you are comparing with a private room in a hostel, not expecting any sort of luxury. So, don’t come here if the quirks of an older motel freaks you out, come because its a good location and you are on a budget. The room was clean, and also importantly I was greeted warmly by Kevin, so helpful and kind. I would stay here again purely based on his hospitality and the location.

Basic hotel in the Redondo Beach area with free parking. The rooms are a little rundown. The reception guy was very friendly. The beds where not to bad. The whole place actually is a little rundown but we felt safe.

We came into town for my nephew's wedding. Since we were planning a quick trip, price was big factor and I know sometimes reviews on websites are subjective. I should have paid more money. The room was dirty, with stained walls, stained bedspreads, a spider in the tub, and trash not picked up behind the chair. The room had some sort of funky stink that had an overlay of cleaner...very weird. At 10 pm, off we went to the drugstore for an air freshener candle!! The bed was surprisingly comfortable and I slept ok ( with my own blanket, thank you very much), as did the others but that's about all the positives I can say. At almost 100$ bucks a night, I'd hoped for a little more cleanliness but the cap came the 2nd night when I took I quick, hot bath after the wedding festivities. I was eye level with the toilet rim and the whole under side of the toilet rim had mold and , well you know...ugh. Disgusting! We were leaving at 4am the next morning and did not see anyone to tell them the house keeping is a wee bit lax. We did not experience any rudeness from staff upon check in and the place is less then 5 minutes to the beach, less than 10 to the pier BUT...if clean rooms are your thing, look elsewhere!!!!

We booked this “hotel” thinking it was a great deal, mainly because of the proximity to the world famous Redondo Pier. However, the pictures of the rooms, although relatively accurate, are totally deceptive, given the rundown filthiness of this place. It is not a place where you want to spend any time, other than that needed for a restful sleep. In this respect, the bedding is not bad, not great either, but certainly not the worst ever encountered. But the room is uninviting as the curtains are filthy, the two chairs stained galore and the lighting bleak and gloomy. The TV does not work unless you call reception to have someone come up and fix it and the heating-cooling unit is noisy and inefficient. Overall, the murky atmosphere leads you to be eager to take your flight back home the next morning, no matter how early you have to get up. In addition, having spent over a hundred dollars for one night in this dump, I felt like I’d been cheated big time. Better spend a little more and not be disappointed as we were. You could actually do much better for less if you opt for a further-from-the-beach venue. I’d give this place a minus rating if I could. Perhaps there is one plus though: if by misfortune you swallowed or absorbed some kind of poison and needed to expel it promptly, stepping into one of the rooms would quickly induce the required vomiting to rid yourself of the toxins and perhaps save your life. But what are the chances…?

Staff was VERY RUDE & VERY SLOW. Took over 20 minutes to check-in to three pre-booked rooms (family traveling together) & staff required a SEPARATE CREDIT CARD for each room even though I'd booked all three together, was checking-in to all three together, & paying for all three together. Overflowing trash cans & trash strewn in walkways. Musty-smelling rooms. No coat-hangers in the closet.
