We were ion our way from Seattle to LA and found this great hotel just a couple of blocks off I-5. It's just south of highway 44 and east of I-5. It's easy to get to, but Redding does not offer good signage to find hotels, restaurants, gas stations, etc. The hotel is new and stylish. The staff was professional and cordial. I went to the breakfast staging area to ask the staff to let me know when the cheese omelettes were ready. One staff member apologized for the lack of them. I shook my head and assured her that it was not a *significant* problem. things are not always going to be perfect when you travel. I joined my wife for breakfast. In a few moments, the staff told me that there were omelettes ready.

Very nice hotel. Our room was comfortable, had lots of room and was very quiet. The bed was perfect - we slept great. The hotel was opened this year so everything is in great condition. Nice free breakfast. Staff were all very nice and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. Nice restaurant next door.

Had a really positive experience at this property, a two night stay either side of a day at Lassen Volcanic National Park. It is branded as a "Holiday Inn Express" but it would pass muster as a higher end hotel brand. The place seemed new and had that "new carpet smell". Almost everything about the place was "thumbs up": friendly and efficient front desk staff, crisp clean linens, exceptionally clean rooms and the common areas, nice pool and fitness center (though I used neither), good location. I used the guest laundry and that was all good. The complimentary freshly baked cookies at the front desk in the evening is a nice touch. The breakfast will be familiar to regular patrons of the H.I. Express chain . . .which is to say not awesome (except the cinnamon rolls), but quite acceptable and with a good variety that will appeal to both health-conscious eaters and indulgers. The only minor complaints I would offer is that parking was a little tight, and it would be nice if the hotel had some sort of outdoor sitting area; on our second night my girlfriend and I ordered a take-out pizza; after sunset, it was a lovely evening (after a hot day) and it would have been nice to eat it outside. BY THE WAY . . . as of the date I am posting this review, the thumbnail image of this hotel at the TripAdvisor site (which shows a building about ten stories tall) is NOT this hotel. This hotel is in reality a 3-story building.

We checked into the hotel late in the afternoon. The front desk person seemed new to the job but was very good. He was knowledgable and had answers to all my questions. Great customer service. The room was a tiny bit on the small size, but more than adequate. The bed was clean and comfortable. the air conditioner was a bit noisy but did cool down the room The bathroom was clean and towels were very good. WI-FI was OK. No ice machine on the first floor. I am sure this is because of all those people that want to fill their coolers with ice before they leave. You have all seen them. Following a good night's sleep, the breakfast was pretty good. It is the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast but completely met our needs. The checkout was very quiet. The front desk person was not speaking that morning. Took our key cards and gave me the receipt. No words exchanged. The parking lot was well laid out and although we do not need handicapped parking, there was enough for those that do. You could also charge your electric car. All in all, not a bad place to spend a night or two when on the road.

We stayed for two nights in the middle of a heat wave (108 degrees!!). This hotel was cool, clean and comfortable. My son said he thought the beds were the best we experienced on our trip. The rooms had imaginative extras like hooks for clothes and towels. The breakfast was standard fare but was well stocked and the eating area was bright and open. The gym was also standard with free weights and a couple of treadmills. It is close to restaurants and shopping One thing to note, the photo on trip advisor is NOT the hotel!! It took a good 10 min for me to wrap my head around the actual hotel because I was anticipating the hotel in the photo (actual hotel is still great but not a tower... 3 story)
