We stayed in cabin 1 during our visit. The location is perfect! Located on the Ave of the Giants, you could not ask for more majestic surroundings! The gift shop has some very nice souvenirs at great prices. These cabins are homey and clean. We both slept very well the 3 nights we were here. We had a kitchen that... More

We stayed in cabin #14. It was clean, and the kitchen had all the utensils and cooking supplies that we needed. However, the interior is very dated, and the price is high. If you don't mind paying $300 for Motel 6 quality, this is a fine place. I probably wouldn't return; it's just too expensive for what you get. The... More

We stayed in Cabin 12, the king bed was very comfortable, just wish they didn't use a plastic-backed mattress pad because it crinkled. Really, most folks don't wet the bed! Plus they folded the top sheet down to half-way down the bed and tucked it in firmly, so we had to basically tear the bed up to get in and... More

Very dated. Bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn around. The shower head was so low I had to get down on my knees to rinse my hair (picture below, no not of me!). We stayed in cabin 4. There was a nice selection of movies, so we played one. There was no color on the TV. Seriously. We... More

It was very comfortable. We stayed in cabin 14. They are building cabin 13 right next to us but the noise wasn't overwhelming at all. We cooked in the fully equipped kitchen and used the BBQ grill another day. It was right on the Avenue of the Giants and the owners are so helpful in all that you needed. They... More

We stayed for a four day weekend at the Redcrest. It is conveniently located and allowed us to cook many of our own meals to save money. We came in early May and this is not their tourist season, so the local restaurant and market (if you can call it that) was not open and the closest was in Fortuna... More

We stayed with two big dogs in Cabin 2, a two bedroom. The cabin was well-equipped. We were there in the middle of the week in the slow season, which was good for us and the dogs. I can see it might be very busy in the summer. There are lots of outdoor activities set up for children and a... More

Driving upto the National Park was fun... But the real delight was the cabin... Its a small little cabin for 2 people and gives you a very nice touch of being in a national forest... Though food or coffee is 10 miles away, we were able to plan it accordingly and have a comfortable stay in cabin 9.

Definitely a quaint little place right on the Avenue of Giants! Pros: Very clean. Great housekeeping with nice little touches of folded linens. Comfortable beds.Really had everything that we needed. Cons: Several. We had reservations so was disappointed when we got into our cabin that the temp was only 50 - no heat had been turned on for a really... More

This is a great place to get away from it all. In case the name and address didn't give it away, this cute little cabin and RV resort is located in northern California's red wood territory. Our cabin, #11, came with a queen bed, a small table and chairs, a mini fridge and microwave. A television and DVD player provide... More
