This property fell very short of my expectations in terms of the condition of the property and the room. The grounds are lovely and the staff very pleasant and helpful. I booked a "Deluxe Fireplace Suite, Corner Room", and while the website cautioned that their one photo of this suite type was not necessarily representative of the room I would receive, I was very disappointed with how it was marketed versus what I received. I was placed in what they refer to as a Hospitality Suite. The square footage was impressive. The use of the square footage was not. Huge "kitchen" area with absolutely no amenities other than a standard hotel room coffee maker. No glassware, no wine opener. Living room did not have a coffee table. Fireplace was wood burning, but outfitted with one little Duraflame log. Horrible lighting in living room and bathrooms. No full length mirror. The outside patio area had furniture with mismatched cushions, a lot of space, but nothing else to create any ambience. Lawn maintenance very early in the morning which was disruptive. Overall a huge disappointment for the money spent.

Most of the reviews on this property are 5-star. I would not give it hotel this rating because our room was in need of a facelift. The hotel has ambiance and charm, but the rooms itself are mediocre. Eg., there is no place near the bed to plug in for wifi. The clock had an access of the IPhone 4 or earlier. It’s time to update little things. Also, heater went on fine, but after about 10 minutes it went into “loud mode” and we had to turn it off. We ended up cutting our stay short. The front desk manager was understanding and the staff was pleasant. But, if all the rooms were like ours, then there is need to restore the old world charm with with updates for technology.

There is nothing I value more than fantastic customer service. My first day at the Inn unfortunately had a few hiccups. I travel often and know that these things happen, so I refuse to make snap judgements until I speak with a manager. Michelle was absolutely incredible. She was so kind and empathetic and addressed my issues immediately. She went above and beyond to make things right. For this I was beyond grateful. Michelle was not the only staff member to make my stay wonderful, the front desk attendent and the restaurant servers were also amazing. The grounds of this hotel are charming. The restaurant offers delicious food. The rooms are spacious and the suites have fireplaces (which was a big bonus for me.) The balcony was also an excellent size and a lovely place to enjoy a cup of coffee or a nice glass of wine. All in all I really enjoyed my stay here, the staff really does make this place extra special. Keep up the good work everybody!

I have stayed at this place frequently over the years but hadn't been back in the past 12 months. I was lucky enough to visit for a few nights over the holiday and just had a great stay. The Bar and restaurant are only doing take-out but you can get their full menu and they are happy to make you a cocktail. The staff fall all over themselves to make sure you are taken care of. The place is perfect for social distancing since it is like cottages scattered around landscaped grounds so minimal interior common areas to navigate. I think all the rooms have nice patios and it is a great spot to chill with a book and forget your problems. Oh and they do real deal room service. I ordered and a guy in a suit rode up in a golf cart with our full meal on a nice tray on real dishes with real silverware WOW! In most hotels nowadays they put your food in a paper bag, throw it at your door and run for the hills. Kudos to Nate at the bar and all the friendly staff at this fine place. Can't wait to come back.

Family and friends stayed for two days for our nieces wedding. Inn has been around for almost a hundred years. Few hiccups like not having room ready although we had called ahead. You must call to get ice etc. rooms are spacious and bed was comfy. We were in outer cottage so we had to do lots of walking. Covid restrictions enforced and couldn’t even have a drink at bar unless you were eating. Wedding and reception had to be held outside under tents because weather turned cold, wet and windy.
