I have stayed at a lot of Marriott properties but this one is by far the best. The resort is pristine, grounds are always perfectly kept and staff are pleasant and very helpful. Kudos to David at the adult pool, Abdul at Pinzimi and Tracy B at the Fireside Lounge. They really show pride of ownership and Marriott/Westin should be proud to have them representing the brand.

The Westin Mission Hills resort is a true gem in the desert. The resort has it all--3 pools-one quiet, one fun with DJ and slides, and one for adults. The food and beverage service at the pool is outstanding. They have daily specials, Tacos and Burgers at reasonable prices. There is an arcade with bowling, dive in movies, and agenda with really fun things to do for all ages. like .fishing! looking at the turtles, koi pond walking along the golf course makes it easy to get the steps in. The resort fee includes bike rental. They have live music in the Fire side lounge, and the resort is being remodeled and getting prettier by the moment. We had a second floor room with a balcony, nice and large with peaceful view of the golf course. Tracey at the lounge, along with many outstanding members made our staycation from Orange County exceptional. They had pancakes and bacon special in the courtyard on Sunday for $12 that was exceptional. This resort has it all, and indicative of the leadership from Tom the general manager, they care about their guests. Highly recommend this property for a few nights, especially if you have teenagers or kids. I will be back for sure!

This hotel is the perfect family getaway! We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were greeted with complimentary sangrias and $12 carne asada tacos that were covered by the $20 daily food credit included in the resort amenity fee. The resort fee also includes 2 free drinks, two hour bike rental, internet, and bottled water. Friday night we spent in the arcade playing video games and mini-bowling. Our 2nd floor hotel room had a 180-degree view of the golf course, a nice little balcony with chairs and table, and vaulted ceilings. On Saturday my 7-year-old son loved all the activities! At 11am he fed lettuce to the giant tortoises (free). At 2pm he participated in the kids competition (also free), and while he lost the watermelon eating contest, he won the water balloon toss and got a free smoothie! At 3pm we checked out a putter and golf ball from the bell desk and played (free) miniature golf for an hour. At 4pm he was given a fishing pole and bait and taught how to fish for catfish in one of the lakes at the golf course (again, free). At 8pm we sat and watched “How to Train Your Dragon” on a giant blow up screen in the courtyard and ate popcorn (free, free, free). We ended the night back at the arcade for some Pacman and pool, and used our daily food credit for dessert at Pinzimini. My wife had the Cremoso al Cioccolato and I had the Pistachio Ricotta Cake, both were delicious! Sunday was checkout day sadly, but we spent the morning in the giant island pool with water slide. We are already planning a return trip with grandma and grandpa next time. (I told them there’s a special “quiet pool” if they need to escape my son at any point). We spent some time at our friend’s timeshare this weekend as well, and our resort was WAY better. Highly recommend!

The check-in process was quick and no one made me write down my car info or made me sign anything, which was all great. We drove to our room and the grounds felt uninspired. The property just felt old and tired. The room was fine. The heavenly beds were great. The tv was a good size, but it lacked a real cable or satellite selection. There should be a full complement of channels for what is supposed to be a high-end place. We had to request daily housekeeping. There was a pool close to our room, bu5 it was pretty quiet and had no service or action. Everything else was a bit of a walk. The excitement is not in the middle. The property is not laid out very well. To be honest, I was getting a special rate as part of a golf tournament. Plus, the parking and resort fees had been waived. Without that I wouldn’t stay here again. Paying to park here is a joke, and resort fees are ridiculous everywhere, but especially when they won’t even clean your room as SOP. This “resort” left me feeling very blah about it. I’d rather pay $150 less a night, with no resort fees o4 parking and stay at a newer Fairfield or Holiday Inn.

Araceli Prado, a front desk associate went above and beyond to make our visit to the resort exceptional. It was mothers day and extremely busy. Ms. Prado was professional, friendly, poised and went out of her way to help us. In order to allow us to enjoy the pool as we waited, she actually walked our keys out to us. If this associate is any indication of the wonderful service at Mission Hills Resort, we will be returning.
