Let me start out by saying I am a former Omni employee. I loved the brand in San Diego and was excited for this birthday celebration I planned for my spouse. 2 nights, golf and spa. THE WORST EXPERIENCE not even 4 hours in. Got to the hotel around 7:30pm after a long day of traveling. Enthusiasm from front staff was non existent and valet wasn’t even open. Asked about the Spa and where to go for Golf in the morning and was just redirected to a map. No other assistance for the reservations I had made. Room was assigned. Upon entering the room (standard king) I felt things were off. The room itself was outdated, seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned well or recently. Like the room sat vacant. Stains next to bed headboard, bugs and dirt in the shower (tub) an AC unit that sounded like an old motor and carpet I didn’t feel comfortable walking bare-foot on. Tried to focus on the good. We left for dinner and when we returned and we’re getting ready for bed I just felt off. Sheets were pulled back and had what appeared to be black dog hair on them (it is a dog-friendly property) although we did not bring our dog. Then when I went to turn off the light between the bathroom and bed, I realized I needed to turn the light back in and there, right by the light switch was a LARGE cockroach. Not a flying cockroach or something that could have come in from the outside but a legitimate ~ 3 in cockroach. This is now 11pm at night. Called the front desk who was apologetic but gave us the solution of moving us to a new room. Not guarantee that it would be any better. As we sat there for a minute trying to collect ourselves after having to try and trap and kill the roach in our bathroom we were just over it. Upon notifying the front desk we weren’t comfortable they advised they’d upgrade our room for free (and $800 value). BUT there’s no guarantee those rooms were any cleaner. Nor the fact that we’d traveled all day and are now wide awake and exhausted. Ended up leaving and booking last minute 2x the price rooms just to have somewhere to sleep. Truly that was disappointing but what bothered be even more was that no one bothered checking in with us today to apologize or check-in. As guests who had planned in spending significant $$ golfing and at the spa, you’d think they’d care more about those that had a negative experience and hearing us out. Still have a $1,270 hold on my credit card. For anyone else I’m this situation that doesn’t have those funds readily available to leave and stay somewhere else, it’s just ridiculous. Truly disappointing and definite completely shifted a trip we had planned entirely at one resort.

We were supposed to be in a camper in Joshua Tree this Labor Day weekend (3 nights) with our two kiddos under 10. With 120 degree weather before us, I asked my husband where the nearest pool was. That is when he confessed that we need to execute Plan B- the Omni La Palmas. I do not regret it. Our room was in Bldg 27- off the beaten path but a stone’s throw to Splashtopia. Perfect. Our room overlooked the golf course and had a king bed. Very comfy. Not plush, but nice. BTW our room was soundproof. We ate at the Palms Cafe- coffee, muffins, açaí bowl, oatmeal- met expectation. We had breakfast and dinner at BluEmber- exceeded expectation. I didn’t think it would but I am so happy we stayed at the resort to dine. They surprised us with a kid’s dinner buffet- which saved us from two hangry girls The Splashtopia water park was perfect for kids AND adults. The lazy river was my serenity. We rented a Cabana and it was worth every penny; three lounge chairs with high-Ned towel covers, mister, fruit plate, bottled water and two cocktails came with the rental. I secretly with my 4 year old didn’t have a melt down at 4pm, forcing us to leave my hubby and 8 year old to enjoy. They also showed kids movies each night at 7:45pm. I look forward to returning!

My sisters and granddaughters stayed this last weekend at Omni Rancho Las Palmas. We had a warm welcome at the Front Desk. The room was amazing (big, clean and comfortable). The staff was kind and helpful. We did the kids activities at the Pool. My granddaughter who is five made slime, made a tie dye tshirt and participated in the hula hoop contest. This was the best vactaion she ever had. The activity attendant was very helpful and friendly. Our Splash Pool attendant "Matthew" went above and beyond. This was a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you for an abolutely amazing weekend - and making special memories

I had been at this hotel in 1984 (for Marriott training)so I didn’t have high expectations due to the age of the property….but I have to say I was totally overwhelmed. The staff was so wonderful at the start from the lovely gal who checked us in (she has only been there 7 months) all the way to the friendly pool attendant. Omni has done a wonderful job in renovating the property. the food and beverage product was wonderful in the Blue Ember restaurant (chicken jidori delightful) The bartenders were all so friendly and they offered a great selection of handcrafted cocktails (my favorite was the pink gin drink. I had forgotten what a great location the hotel is (close to the 111. Housekeepers were excellent and always greeted us as we roamed the property. I have worked in hospitality for many years…but this is one hotel that I definitely would return to. Ps great French restaurant just around the corner.

This is not my first time or first issue with the omni. After many room issues , checkin issues , and food issues over the years we actually have it a break for a couple of years. However, one thing you can’t beat is the pool and the location. This summer I convinced a friend to spend the $500 (a night) rate with me so we could take our kids. As usual the pool did not disappoint. But, the rooms are just so disgusting!!! My bed didn’t have a fitted sheet, instead just a mattress cover and the mattress cover was full of yellow pee stains . We called to have someone come with a clean sheet and pad but they never showed and we just went to bed. The shower glass was full of finger prints and grime, well before we even used the shower . And the bathroom door had sunscreen handprints all over it, clearly it hadn’t been wiped down . I would think due to covid the cleaning would be above and beyond but that wasn’t the case. The desk, lamps, blinds , all covered in an inch of dust. We were in a end room that had an additional window and that window cover was about 2 inches too short on both sides so the sun comes beaming through first thing, enough so to wake us all up. For $500 a night those rooms should be immaculate!!!! My friend was understandably very annoyed by the condition of the room and expressed she’d never pay that much for the rooms. I have honestly seen cleaner Holiday Inn’s. I can’t complain about the pool because as usual it’s always a great time. But we could have had a fun pool experience somewhere else that’s more affordable. When reviewing my bill I noticed a $118 restaurant charge , still not sure what it was but it was thankfully removed , glad I checked . On Sunday I waited 45 minutes for an order of cold fries, and didn’t even get to sign my bill because the server never came back with our waters or check and no, it wasn’t that busy . While in the lazy River on Sunday , I wasn’t feeling well, maybe the heat . So I wanted to keep my water with me, but the lifeguards made me get rid of it. I tried explaining that it was water and I felt like I needed it because I wasn’t feeling well but they wouldn’t budge. In 111 heat your customers should be allowed water on them at all times. Lastly , at the pool on Saturday, a woman was trying to pick fights with everyone. She was yelling and swearing and not a single pool attendant spoke to her or asked her to leave . And yes, someone else did complain as she was making kids very uncomfortable. I had really hoped that after taking a few years break, that we’d come back and there would be some positive changes and cleaner rooms because of covid , but that wasn’t the case . All I can say is , thank god for the fun pool. This will absolutely be my last time giving this hotel a chance .

double booked by accident. meant to postpone by 1 day. Called Omni, and were happy to refund the no-show fee. Will not hesitate to stay at the hotel in the future. In addition, the stay was fantastic. AC worked really well. Lazy River water was warm, as expected, in hot summer... Had a fantastic time.

Everything about this resort is lovely. The suites are very spacious and well equipped. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. There are enough sun loungers around the pool areas and the adult only pool is a lovely addition to relax. I would definitely return!

I have been to Omni La Costa and I had high expectations. I wasn’t necessarily let down. Juana at the front was super amazing! So was our cabana server (his name starts with a D). There was also an amazing cleaning lady who brought us extra towels. The rooms at Las Palmas need some extra TLC but they work. The only major concern for me was the smell coming from the closet and where the fridge was. It was so foul I refused to open either. Not even lysol helped. Aside from that the pool was great. They seem to be way more lax during the weekdays than the weekends. Loved the pool areas and so did my son! Splashtopia was a hit. We had no problem finding chairs on Thursday. We were able to witness the long line on a Saturday. Thank goodness we were checking out. The staff at the resort was very friendly. I’d definitely go back just hoping there isn’t that smell anymore.

Family friendly 10/10! They have so many different activities for kids (paid) to include: tie dye shirts, pottery painting, birdhouses, slim making, cookie decorating, airbrush tattoos and many more! The water park is small but just the right size. The lazy river is nice- they even have little infant floats with the bottom sealed in the inner tube. The food is decent but very convenient for it being delivered right to your lounge chair. There is construction going on with a new pool addition- so they do start early and woke us up with some loud banging. Everyone loves their job here and is very nice and friendly. They have free popsicles and little ice cream cups at the front desk. Highly suggest Norma’s Italian Restaurant for dinner ( dine in has about an hour wait, but you can postmates/doordash) Would stay here again and would recommend

I am SO disappointed in the amenities of this resort. If you are looking for a place to cool off with your kiddos during the summer this is NOT the place for you. The pools felt like hot tubs, in face when my father in law went in the hot tub for a brief minute he said there was no difference in temperature from the regular pools. I reached out to speak to a pool manager and even though I was told someone would contact me they never did. I picked this resort out of hundreds due to the fun pool slides and lazy river and am beyond disappointed that they do not know how to use their pool coolers. So if you are wanting to stay here in the summer BEWARE- the pools will be uncomfortably warm. I even tried the adult pool one day hoping that it would be cooler and even upon entry I heard everyone talking about how it was not refreshing at all. I should give them 1 start but the room was nice.
