Pros: - I loved this campground because the restrooms were CLEAN and did not smell! - They had showers - hot showers! Youpay 50 cents for 4 minutes, which it better than no shower... most of the other campgrounds I looked into didn't allow showers at all due to the drought. - We didn't have any problems with the rangers.... We stayed here over the weekend before the 4th of July. We had a great time! The campsite was wonderful, clean. The rangers did come around each night to let u know of quiet time hours and when to put the fires out. However, unlike another person's review, they were not nosey and did not hover. They politely told us... More

We are semi-regular campers. We camped at Dos Picos this past weekend, and we were seriously disappointed. The Rangers completely ruined the experience. They troll around your campground very aggressively looking for something to complain about. First they told us that we had to remove our light strand (Christmas lights) that was wrapped around a 75 year old huge oak... More

This is an excellent campground for families with younger kids. There are basically three sections of this campground; a lower section that is relatively flat and open, a section section along the hills that has two cabins for rent, and an upper loop that surrounds a rec center that was primarily occupied by RVs. The lower section is where you... More

This is a nice campground for those with tents and also those with RVs. I was in space #3 and it was a good location. Some of the parking spots are tight if you have a big RV. For example, space #1 was very tight and not easy to maneuver a big travel trailer. The electricity and water hook ups... More

We were looking for a local park to try out our new RV. This park is very nice. Beautiful old oak trees, well maintained facilities, mostly level spaces, very friendly staff. We were there mid week when the park was virtually vacant so it was very quiet. I'm sure it is crazy during the summer and on weekends but we... More

Overall we had a nice stay and the camp ground was reasonably quiet until the loud Native American drumming and chanting started Saturday night around 10 pm at a house next to the park. It went continuously all night until about 8 am the next morning. We had read a similar review but thought it was probably a rare occurrence.... More

We’ve camped here many times and have never been disappointed. This time we stayed a week, as our niece was married in this park at the wedding gazebo. Wonderfully romantic location and the rangers did everything they could to make sure the event went smoothly. Both the brides aunts and uncles camped on location. This place is near the town... Campground itself is nice, but the neighbors made our stay unbearable. Tent and trailer sites 54, 55, 57 and surrounding were subjected to non-stop blaring loud country music played from outside speakers pointed directly at the campground (to spite campers) from 3 to 10:30 PM on a Saturday. When I complained at the ranger station at 6 pm (the music... More

We just returned from two nights in a small RV at Dos Picos County Park-so close, yet so far away. It took us less than an hour to get there, but it seemed very isolated from the metro area. The Rangers, and other reviewers, explain that it is very busy on the weekends, especially with families, but we spent Monday... More
