We needed to get out and our friends have a trailer so we rented one of the cabins. Although we were not camped close to each other we had a wonderful time. The cabins are just right. Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom and you don't need to bring anything they have it all. The patio for morning coffee was really pleasant. Everyone is friendly and nice.
We made our arrangements pre Covid. When it came time to actually leave on our trip I was concerned. However after speaking with the manager, Monique, we decided to go ahead with our plans. Monique handled our check in prior to our arrival, so we would not need to come into the office. We had a great spot, with shade, a pond near us, and a brand new bench was waiting for us. The staff was friendly and helpful. We could see that a lot of time & effort had gone into making our stay enjoyable & safe. Thank you Monique for going the extra mile to put us at ease. Our family hopes to return soon!
First, I want to say this is an excellent RV park! My complaint is the cabins. They are very nice but there is no daily service like you get in a hotel. They don't clean the rooms, refresh your beddings or towels and don't even empty the trash. Since you're paying hotel rates, I would expect a little more service, but the park is awesome, shady and quiet!
This was our first visit, it was a 4 day stay. The park is old and kept mostly clean. There are a lot of full time tenants here, they are are scattered throughout the park, some of the places are a little messy. The TV cable works good, the spaces are not very level and some, like ours is all rocks with no grass or dirt, it makes it hard to set your table and chairs steady. There are 2 ponds and a lot of friendly ducks running around, they will walk up to you if you have food to share. Overall the park was okay, some of the RVer's get noisy, but not too bad. The access to and fro is easy, the personnel are very friendly and accommodating. We need to top off 2 propane tanks, the workers were driving by in their cart, I stopped and asked if they had propane. The guys said yes we do, we will take your tanks, fill them and bring them back. They did and handed me a bill and aid to pay whenever we go up to the office. That was so very nice of them!!! There are 2 outdoor pools and I believe there is an indoor pool but it was closed. They also have a very small gift shop and good ice cream. There is a grocery store across the street. The Jackson Rancheria is about 30 minutes away. The Castle Oaks golf course is also about 20 to 30 minutes away. Don't forgot to check out all of the neat towns, and wineries in the area. These foothills are wonderful places to visit. We will be back in the future. thank you 49er RV for a nice visit.…
Stay there often in our motorhome and accompanied by friends in their motorhomes. Beautiful campsites with creeks, ponds, and ducks. Friendly staff. Great place to visit Amador county wineries and restaurants. Always see families, children and pets coexisting peacefully. Cabins are available for those who do not bring their 'houses'. Adjacent to the Amador County fairgrounds where entertainment is plentiful.
