Brought a group here, a block of 16 rooms. First of all, the management was very easy to work with. This hotel has a great location, essentially dead center in gold country, halfway between Nevada City and Sonora. Each room is clean, spacious and comfortable, and they have great views as well. My suggestion is that you bring your own soap and shampoo, or that the hotel could up it's game a little in this area. Definitely recommend if you are here to explore all this area has to offer.

What a great place to stay when wine tasting! The owner, Ken, makes sure that you have everything you need for your stay! The pool area is spotless, with towels provided for swimming. Little amenities like toothpaste, shaving cream and makeup remover was provided, as well as the usual soaps and lotions. 2 wine glasses are provided in the room if you want to open a bottle of local wine. Super clean: you can’t go wrong!

Had a very nice stay here July 21-22 while visiting the Shenandoah Valley wine country. We had a beautiful second floor double queen room with a great view of the Sierra Foothills. The room was super clean, comfortable beds, and spotless bathroom, Ken and his staff went out of their way to make us welcome and recommend local restaurants and favorite wineries that will wave tasting fees for guest at their Inn. We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant right next door and it was really good too, Thanks Ken and Team !

Recently stayed at Shenandoah Inn in Plymouth, CA. Bill at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful in making our reservations. Room was super clean and quiet. The owners are very engaged in the management of their hotel to be sure their guests are happy and treated well. Bill and the owners provided a wealth of information on local restaurants and wineries. Will come back again for sure.

This time I booked 2 rooms as my parents were evacuated from a large fire nearby. Both my parents are 90 and my father has dementia. Not only did the person at the desk provide the 2 rooms he juggled things around so the rooms were next to each other. He did all this over the phone and without a credit card. He even stayed late to personally check us in. As the fire grew he graciously extended the stay an additional 5 nights.
Changes, such as being evacuated, can be very upsetting for people with dementia so I appreciate all of his efforts to make these accommodations as well as helping me get my elderly parents through this challenge.
I see that some appreciate the fact that this is a nice place, it is, that it is near the wineries, it is, that they are friendly, they are, and that the price is fair, it is. Beyond the niceties the person at the front desk took a real interest in making sure make this was as simple and low stress as possible. Not all places care as much as they do here.

Hello there, My family and I discovered this lovely place on our way to Tahoe, and we were so impressed! Marie at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond to make our stay special. An absolute doll! 😍 The room was spotless, and the view from our window was stunning. While it may not be the fanciest place, it’s perfect if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable stay with friendly staff, complimentary breakfast, and good A/C. I highly recommend booking here! I also have to mention the thoughtful amenities: complimentary toothbrushes, coffee, tea bags, toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner in your room. If you need more, the front desk is happy to help. For those with long hair like mine, you might want to stop by the Walmart 15 minutes away for travel-size shampoo and conditioner, and maybe a bigger toothpaste. The front desk kindly offered me extra shampoo packets, but I didn’t want to fuss with opening a bunch of them. 😂 ⁶

The motel is located very near the town of Plymouth and the Amador County wine area. It is very clean and the main room and bathroom were quite large and comfortable. The area is rural and very quiet and the hotel is located on a hill above the main road. The parking lot is large and can accommodate large vehicles.

We booked this Hotel for a overnight trip with our Model A club (5 cars 10 people) for wine tasting. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The rooms are nice and big with amazing views. The beds are very comfortable. The bathroom had everything you would need, even toothbrushes! A few commented it was the quietest hotel they have ever slept at and had their second floor windows open. The deluxe continental breakfast was nice. No complaints from the group. The Mexican restaurant next door was delicious. Everyone loved their dinner. Thank you Ken for the enjoyable stay.

Another wonderful stay! Staff is always friendly and helpful with any needs. Our room was spotless clean. The pool and surrounding area also very clean. The continental breakfast works just wish it opened before 8:00 a.m. The view from our room was beautiful ! Thank you Shenandoah for maintaining everything so well.
