I was in the area for an event at Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, and since my wife agreed to join me, I decided to book accommodations a step above what the military base had to offer. I came across The Rose Hotel in nearby Pleasanton, CA. The reviews were excellent, so I tried it—and I’m glad I did. My wife, who has quite discerning taste, absolutely loved it. If I had a dollar for every time she exclaimed, “Look at that…” or “They even have…,” we could have booked a few more nights! Beyond its convenient location near the base and in the heart of Pleasanton’s dining district, the hotel impressed us with its impeccable attention to detail. For example, in my room, there was a mahogany chair valet with a note explaining that if I attached it to my shoes, they would be complimentary shined and promptly returned. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the outstanding continental breakfast. Everything was fresh, and the variety of offerings went far beyond the standard fare, making for an exceptional start to the day.

Fabulous hotel. Superb location on Main St. in downtown Pleasanton. Excellent, attentive staff. Our room was cozy, clean, spacious and well appointed. Delicious breakfast is included and is served in the hotel’s quaint lobby. We rented a Tesla and the hotel not only had electric charging stations in their covered parking garage, but actually had dedicated Tesla charger. We had a great trip made even better by staying at the Rose Hotel. Thank you Rose Hotel! We’ll be back soon.

My husband and I sought refuge at the Rose Hotel during a power outage in our area. It was mid-week, we'd been without power for more than 24 hours and I had to get some work done, so I really needed wi-fi. I have never felt so cared for at a hotel. The lobby is welcoming and warm, the wi-fi is excellent and the rooms were comfortable. In fact, not a detail was overlooked from the slippers next to the bed to the mints on the night stand.

The rooms were very quiet and its location in the heart of downtown Pleasanton gave us lots of dinner options. The morning breakfast had a lot of very healthy options which I appreciated. I also can't speak highly enough about the staff. All of whom were kind and attentive.

Overall, this is a 5 star hotel in a very quaint downtown. You will love your stay.

This hotel is an example for all the little things that every top hotel and resort should follow! A touch of European excellence for sure.

I was consistently amazed by the attention to detail…

The breakfast spread was spectacular and everything a person could ever want whether you are a meat and potatoes person or a health food nut.

Turn down service was spectacular… they turn on romantic love songs, leave a box of to die for chocolates, relaxation balm, slippers, etc.

Plenty of bottled water, they even leave a very nice notepad, letter opener, spectacular pens, so many little extras that you never see in top hotels days.

Service is everything one would expect, extremely responsive, fast, no complaints whatsoever.

The room Decour is a bit traditional for my liking but with all of the amenities, special touches, and amazing service, you don’t even notice.

Location is absolutely perfect if you are in the Pleasanton area. You can walk everywhere you need to be.

The old fashioned decor and all the thoughtful details really made this hotel a stand out. I loved all the tiny extras from the basket of fruit and snacks on every floor, to the French press coffee maker with a tin of coffee. Everything felt 4 star. I really appreciated the silicone-free shampoo and conditioner as well.
The location is ideal with lots of restaurants in walking distance. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
I won’t stay anywhere else in the area again.

As we got off the elevator and headed toward our room, there was a stand in the hallway atop of which there were a vase of fresh flowers and a dish with snacks — granola bars, packaged nuts. I took some nuts. The room was a delightfully large king with all the amenities and style that others here have noted. But here’s where I’m going with this: We dropped our bags and had to leave within 5 minutes on an errand. 5 minutes in the room. As we walked back to the elevator and past the stand in the hallway….yep, the snack dish had already been replenished. That’s the kind of service and attention to detail you can expect at the Rose Hotel. Everything pretty much on point. The room was great but we especially enjoyed the lobby with its view of Main Street ( Pleasanton’s has a kind of Main Street USA vibe) and where we had drinks in the evening and breakfast in the morning. It was a real throwback, too, to find several daily newspapers…you know, on newsprint…available in the lobby, including the SF Chronicle, East Bay Times and WSJ. The Rose is a real find and can be a destination in itself.

One of our favorite hotels, anywhere! Incredible service from all staff members. The hotel is clean, cozy, super comfortable and immaculately maintained. The rooms are spacious and extremely well appointed. There’s breakfast in the lobby every morning, and a quaint lobby bar that’s warm and welcoming. The location is superb! Right on Main St. in downtown Pleasanton, with a plethora of great restaurants, all within walking distance. What really sets The Rose Hotel apart is the staff. They are caring, genuine, always smiling and know who each guest is and address them by name. They go out of their way to make sure all their guests needs are met, This is a family run hotel, and we’re made to feel like part of the family. This was our second stay at The Rose Hotel, but certainly not our last.

We are an 83 years old couple, and having dificulty of mobility. I like to mention some litter things and arrangement make you feel you are been treated like a nobleman. The fresh roses flower decoration in the public rest room. mint chocolate chip will sand to you room everyday at afternoon tea time. Before your leaving night, they offer a free leather shoe polishing if you leave you shoe outside you door.

When I left the hotel, they found out my USB drive and charger was left in the room. they tell you:"Don't worry, We"ll ship to you home next day morning!", that is the different attitude in compare to the most others. Impressive thing is when I open the parcel, I saw my lost stuff come with some hotel souvenir. It that will touched your heart?

Stunning hotel in downtown Pleasanton. Looks historic but is relatively new. Beautiful furnishings, upscale amenities, gracious hospitality, All during the co-vid 19 crisis.
They normally have a delicious, over-the-top Continental breakfast. Even with limited guests they provide unlimited coffee, yogurt, breakfast bars, juice, fruit. The evening turndown service is lovely.
Even though all restaurants in town are closed, there are a few who are doing takeout. Upon the manager’s recommendation, we ordered from two of them in one stay and again in the next stay. Delicious. The hotel staff set up dining for us in the hotel bar/parkour, replete with China, silverware, and glassware—no eating off paper plates with plastic fork.

Lovely hotel, lovely furnishings, lovely staff.
