Loved this hotel! We booked an ocean view with view of lovely grounds, pool with ocean in the background. The property has numerous fire pits which we enjoyed every evening, hosts a decent continental breakfast & on Wednesday afternoon had music with wine tasting! Coffee, tea & cocoa in the lobby all day is a nice touch. Enjoyed having a small refrigerator & microwave in the room. Easy walk down the stairs to the beach & to downtown. We did walk down Price street to downtown which Is doable but we also drove to Rosa’s for dinner & was easy to find parking. Pool was too cool for us , but enjoyed the hot tubs! Another plus is the filtered water machine next to the lobby to refill your water bottles. I used this several times to avoid using disposable bottles! Overall a great stay with comfortable room & great restaurants nearby!

Pros: -Rooms are clean and spacious. -$10 credit if you forego housekeeping services. Very helpful if you want a snack or ice cream. -Served local ice cream--always nice to sample local treats. -If you luck out and have a south side room, the views are to die for. -You can generally find seating away from others in the pool and garden area for privacy and less germ spread during COVID. -Staff nice, but some seemed less experienced than others. -Right off the freeway. -Unaffiliated restaurant shares the same parking lot area and it's a decent place to eat with outdoor seating or to go options so you can eat back at the hotel. -Front desk/lobby is almost like a breezeway so plenty of fresh air, which is good for all the people not wearing masks (though the front desk people were wearing masks.) Cons: -Housekeeping staff were not masked when cleaning the rooms. Although I skipped housekeeping services, I walked by and saw them cleaning other rooms and their masks were off. -We got different info about the $10 credit. First is was per stay, then per night. It's generous of them either way, but if we knew we had more than $10 to work with (since we stayed more than one night), we could have better planned. -Because the hotel offers beach access, it seemed like there were lots of locals there, both in the pools and walking their dogs. The dog situation was a bit out of hand--barking, not cleaning their messes, etc. -I tried calling the hotel to ask a question ahead of my reservation. I called multiple times over the span of 4-5 hours and nobody picked up. Finally, I had to call a different number that did not route me to reservations to ask my question. -The breakfast is decent. The gal wore gloves and gave me eggs. She used a hand to open the lid on the pancake tray and then used her hand (the same one that touched the handle of the tray) to pick up a pancake for my plate. In times of COVID, I prefer as little interaction with other surfaces as necessary, particularly in a food establishment. Caution -The steps to the beach are plentiful, around 80+ or so. -The area appears less prone to wearing masks than other areas of CA. If you're nervous about COVID, keep in mind you'll see a lot of folks in the area, in the hotel, in the nearby restaurant, etc. not really wearing masks. We ran into anti-masks rallies not too far away just outside Pismo while touring the area. Although there are cons, I'd still return and recommend others try it out.

My husband and I decided to come back at this hotel for the 2nd time since our experience from last time (Feb. 2021) was very good. This place has a lot of the things that I'm looking for in a beach hotel such as being close to the pier & restaurants, nice ocean-view, lots of fire pits, beach access, jacuzzi (x3), pool, great outdoor seating areas, reasonable price, very clean all around & well-maintained and excellent customer service. The front desk personnel named, Bernie, was very helpful and provided great service. The beach access has improved since my last visit. All the rocks at the foot of the stairs was removed and cleared out. I just wish the pool was heated since it felt cold. My last visit the pool was warm.

Staying at the Sea Crest for the 1st time was amazing. Went beyond expectations. The staff was very friendly and met all our needs. Especially the front desk worker Silvia, from the moment we arrived she greeted us with a friendly smile and helped us with everything we needed. She knew all the spots for us to enjoy our stay even more. She is a big reason we will definitely be coming back.

First, the location is perfect! The hotel complex is on a bluff overlooking a beautiful beach. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and relaxing - lots of seating areas to enjoy the views. The staff went way out of their way to be welcoming and friendly - from dinner recommendations to insuring that we had everything that we (and our dog) needed to enjoy the stay. The room was nicely appointed and clean - with a great view of the grounds and ocean (we were on the first floor with a patio). The hotel is a short walk to downtown Pismo Beach - so, easy to access shops and restaurants. If you have a dog, the hotel makes sure that you have everything to make your stay perfect - from supplying bowls, towels and a dog bed to posting bags/garbage cans throughout the property. The only reason why I didn't give this hotel an "excellent" rating - is the nightly rate. We got a 10% discount - but with the taxes/fees and $100 dog fee, our one night stay in a ground floor, regular room, was just under $450.
