We stayed here with our two little boys and also brought my parents. It was a wonderful stay with plenty of space in our suite for everyone. The boys loved the pool - it’s very warm! My mom and I enjoyed massages at the spa and it felt luxurious. We cooked most meals in the kitchen in our suite, used the BBQ, borrowed bikes & beach chairs from the front desk. It’s a pricey stay but I compared up and down California and it really was the nicest beach resort for the value (compared to booking two hotel rooms). We frequently travel to the Central coast and while we try to avoid Pismo because it’s usually so busy - Dolphin Bay is in Shell Beach which is it’s own slower pocket of the coast. We chose Avila Beach and the small walkable beach for our days. We will definitely make this a regular trip!…
This hotel is a must for a romantic and family trip. The spacious apartment style accommodations have plenty of room and amenities for families, but also room for mom and dad to enjoy the ocean view on the balcony after the kids go to bed! The hot stone massage at The Spa is also a must! We will be returning soon!
Wish we had stayed here longer than 1 night! It was a lovely hotel in a great location with helpful staff and fantastic views! Restaurant was pretty good, too. Suite had absolutely everything you need, plus lots of little extras like milk and washing pods. What more could you ask for? Ideal get a way. And a very competitive price!
We just finished our stay at dolphin bay. Resort is beautiful ! We had a 2 Oceanside suite that was gorgeous ! It was huge and more like a condo than a hotel. Was fantastic to have a full kitchen to cook breakfast in . The manager Julissa was a huge help In helping us secure our reservation. This hotel is not in town but on a beautiful bluff
Wow! We were booked into the resort via our English travel agent, as part of our US road trip. From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were greeted with smiles - and given a warm welcome. Our room, or should I say Suite was amazing. I’m just sorry that our stay was just overnight! We have a really tasty meal in the restaurant - the scallops and soup to start with, followed by fish and filet mignon for main, then an appetising crème brûlée for dessert. We were recommended a local Pinot noir by Ben who was such a knowledgable barman, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. All in all, I would have stayed longer in this wonderful friendly place!
I have not stayed at this resort but my mom is currently there. This review is based on the customer service I received. My mom was coming to stay at Dolphin Bay through a veteran-run program and happened to be there over her birthday. I wanted to do something special for her so I called the hotel and asked how I could make sure to get flowers to her since the reservation was under the program and not her. They helped me with that and even recommended local florists. I had also inquired online and received an email from the General Manager. I told her Patrick had helped me with the flowers but I would love to also send her a cake so Erica gave me some local bakeries that could help. When I asked if they delivered she said no but that if I placed the order she would be more than happy to get them picked up for me. Both the flowers and bakery items (cookies, cupcakes, breakfast items) were in her room upon arrival. My mom was SO shocked and happy and I was over the moon impressed with the customer service I received. Thank you to Patrick, Emily and Lisa for helping me make my mom's birthday great even when I wasn't able to be there with her. It means A LOT!! :)…
Just got back from four nights at Dolphin Bay. They are always so professional, hospitable and gracious. We stayed in the room 124, it’s a pool view ground floor room. There was no ocean view but, it was so handy to have the pool right there as my grandchildren were in and out constantly. The staff at the restaurant, the Lido are wonderful always helpful and there is a wide selection on the menu. I can not recommend this hotel enough. It makes for a wonderful vacation!
Very nice resort. Wonderful tide pools at the beach. Please be aware There are quite a few stairs to get to the beach. Very nice little grocery store walking distance from the resort where you can pick up basic supplies. There is a nice deli in the grocery store where you can get cooked meals to go. Free bike rentals were a nice touch. The anniversary fruit plate waiting for us was a pleasant surprise
Can't express my experience had a really really amazing stay at dolphin hotel the entire service was good rooms were very nice and hygienic beginning to our check out we felt like home thank you so much especially the polite bell boy Mr Srikant and front desk staff Ms Sonali
I cannot say enough wonderful things about our trip to Dolphin Bay Resort over president’s weekend. First off, everybody is very nice and helpful. I especially want to think Patrick and I think the other person‘s name was Kyle for everything they did to get our reservations moved into the same building. Also, our server at dinner I didn’t catch her name but a blonde lady who has a three-year-old, she was excellent! She knew exactly how to handle our large group which included four young children. The rooms are huge! They are One and two bedroom apartments. Each had a full-size kitchen. I really liked the gas fireplace in our room. Tons of space and very comfortable. We had a personal ocean view room and had amazing things of the pool and ocean from our bedroom and our porch. Next time we come to Pismo beach we will definitely stay here! If you are looking for a place for a couples retreat or a family trip look no further. You will not be disappointed! It is also walking distance to a few other hotels for additional food options.…
