We spent a week travelling up the PCH and stayed in 6 parks.. This was definitely the cleanest of the state parks we stayed in ! it was also in a great location and the facilities were good. The showers hot and toilets regularly cleaned. I'd happily recommend this park as an alternative the overpriced private RV parks in Pismo.

Nice state rv park. Spots are not right on top of each other as is the case in most rv parks. Good spot for young kids. Real close to the water, but separated by a few dunes. The town is a tourist trap kind of place. Tons of stores selling overpriced memorabilia junk.

Hot showers, and ample room. This campsite is easy to find. Reservations are through reserveamerica.com and are fairly inexpensive but you should book months in advance. There is a trail that goes straight to the beach with a bit of a hike. We highly recommend this place for camping.

We booked this trip in January, after not being able to get in at an RV "resort". We loved it. Dry camping, but nice pull round sites, open space, short distance to the beach, and you could hear the waves all night. Mostly friendly staff. We have family who lives in Pismo, and the some of the staff would only... More

This is a state park so it is an old facility which means the roads and spaces are all on the smaller side. The entrance is easy to find and get in and out of. The park will not service you till 1pm when they open the gate/office for new arrival check-ins. You will have to wait on the street,... More

Enjoyable campground but keep valuable locked as there is a lot of stealing by the homeless. I have stayed here twice and other than having to move sights one time due to a mentally ill person who would not stop screaming it was very nice both times.

I'd read a bit about this place as i needed a stop off point on the way to LA from San Fran. Some of these reviews were from the "non peak" season but i can safely say that i think the same problems exist. Actually had a guy come up to our van while we were snoozing in it, he... More

The campground was nice enough but some of our neighbours were a little scary and the man across from us would habitually urinate on the asphalt @ 4pm every day. Complaining to the staff did not alleviate the problem. There were enough state police and rangers rolling through the grounds which gives you the idea right away that this is... More

Great campsite! Little waterlogged from heavy rains recently but other than that it was great. Quiet, perfect location. Rangers present but not pesky. Perfect for pulling up and settling in at the beach.

The good news: This is a great location. The campground itself is very open and flat with trees throughout, and one loop is actually a marsh that, when not flooded, is open to campers and quite nice. We stayed in a perimeter spot (83) in the back of the campground, facing the dunes The trails to the beach are numerous,... More
