What an amazing location. Three dear walked right next to our camp the first day. The dog park was awesome, the people were friendly and accommodating. This is in my top five Parks so far for our 36', 50 amp Winnebago. If you want quiet, wilderness, accommodating, and that doesn't mention the miniature golf course, pool tables club room, hugh... We made reservations for a Wednesday and Thursday without realizing it was a holiday weekend. We inquired if there were any cancellations and they went out of their way to let us know, indeed, there was a cancellation and we could extend our visit through the following Thursday morning. Absolutely awesome customer care!! Thanks for taking excellent care of us,... More

This is one of the top 5 camping/vacation destinations I have been to. The grounds are very well maintained. Spaces are not crowded and offer as much privacy as you could expect in this type of environment. Okay, now the good stuff. Gold Country offers a fully stocked club house for reservation. Indoors, heated, and bug free. You have a... More

Positives - large roomy camp site, fun splash area, refreshing pool, abundant hot water for showers and a friendly receptionist. Negatives - no privacy, bright streetlights that shine through the tent all night, trash bin was full all weekend and we smelled them, bathroom floor was never mopped in 3 days and they ran out of t.p....BUT THE WORST -... We were camped with our children and grandchildren in 2 sites. My husband was driving 3 of our grandchildren down to the pool. He took a dirt road which had tent sites on it. It weaved down to the pool. There were no signs saying 'no vehicles' and when he got to the pool, he realized that he couldn't turn... More

Folks were friendly, sites were fairly spacious. Some of the roads are gravel, and several had ruts. Cable is mostly analog, and snowy. WiFi is intermittent. Lots of trees and shade. We hit bottom getting into our site, but other than that, the site was fine.

My wife and two little doggies were here for a week. Very nice place. Quiet and clean. Place needs rain like the rest of California. Folks who run the campground are very nice and work hard keeping it up. We hated leaving and will hopefully one day get to go back.

We went camping for one night and they had so much available to do for us and the kids, and it is all included in the price. They had a pool; water park, basketball court, volleyball court, kids playground, miniature golf, swings, a night time kids movie with free popcorn. We couldn't believe how much stuff they had for everyone... More

Clean, friendly. This was a nice place to stay while touring wine country in the Amador County area. Clean, quiet, great restrooms and showers. Sites well maintained, great staff. We didn't use all of the facilities and were there in the off season (March). A great place to park the Rv and visit wineries. Great WiFi helped us plan our... More

“I spent some time walking around and there really arent any 'bad' spots. Some are a little tight if you dont like to back up your rig, so I would suggest opting for one of their nice pull through spots. Lots of 50Amp spots if you need it.”
