Coastal cabins ("studio") are somewhat primitive, especially given the price (we paid about $390/night with tax). Sleeps 6 but spoons for 2, bowls for 3, no supplies for cleaning dishes (required unless guests are willing to give up $200 cleaning deposit). Free wifi is very poor (as advertised) and there is no cell service, so bring your VOIP phone/text system. Someone else picked this place for a reunion. I won't be back.

We were scheduled to stay 2 nights in glamping tent and were looking foward to visit. It seemed a little pricey (over $200), but we decided to try it. The resort itself is beautiful and in great location. The pine tent bar area was very nice as was restaurant and general store. Umfortunatley the glamping tent was disappointing. It looked nothing like the pictures on website, smelled moldy, and creaked a lot during night from winds. The community bathrooms were also huge disappointing. Only one shower and very dirty. We checked in at 3 pm and left the next day at 8:30 am and the bathroom had not been attended to. Smelly and out of hand towels. We were so disappointed we checked out after first night and went to hotel. Definitely not worth the money.

We live nearby and always thought about staying. When family from out of town visited, we finally did. The location is beautiful and we found positives and negatives about staying in the lodge portion: Positives: - scenery, setting, grounds are well maintained - restaurant is very good - general store well stocked - rooms are very clean and comfortable (with small beds) - outdoor fire place great place to hang out - each room has a fireplace, robes, spacious bathroom - restaurant, store personnel very friendly, helpful Negatives: - staff at front desk, stables not very pleasant - no tv in room, terrible wifi (I realize you're supposed to unplug and enjoy the surroundings, but kids and adults could have used a little screen downtime; the property also books conferences and it would be absolutely impossible to accomplish any work related activity with their terrible wifi) - no pool, just hot tub - small beds (doubles not queens) - overpriced for lodge accommodations - no AC and no screens; french doors out to patio, but without a screen was a bit too open; finally found a fan last morning in the closet Overall, if we returned, we'd rent either of the cabins because you get the same amenities without the overpriced lodge accommodations.

We ate there because we had a large group and they were more than willing to set up for us after being in town at Pescadero. The food was great and beautiful location! Parking easy. Wish the signage going southbound on Hwy 1 was better - something on the ocean side it would be great.

We spent a night in the Lodge on our way to Napa. Room was clean and simple with a nice balcony with beautiful views of surrounding hillsides full of tall forest evergreens. There’s WiFi but no TV. Next time we will be sure to get a room with a fireplace because coastal CA is often foggy and chilly. Front desk service was genuinely friendly. This property has accommodations for everyone-tent or RV camping, tent cabins, wood cabins, and the lodge. We checked out the goats, chickens, and horses on our way to the sandy trails that lead to the beach. There’s a spa where we tried to book massages but they were full. We had better luck with restaurant reservations and it was a highlight of our visit. If you’re looking for a mellow, relaxing, nature inspired break this place is it, just make sure to bring a jacket
