We were looking for a place to stay in Paso Robles, preferably on a vineyard and this looked interesting. When I did a search outside of TripAdvisor, I found that it is now permanently closed. The website is no longer functional, so don't waste your time exploring this option.

San Marcos Creek Vineyard, Winery and Inn has two separate accommodation facilities on the property: The 'Crush Pad' is a self-enclosed, tiered, open floor plan one bedroom, living room, kitchen & dinette adjacent to the winery facilities area, great vineyard views further from the highway and bit more traditional older suite which could use a bit of freshening, but great for families with kids or short stays. No fireplace. The beautifully appointed 2-story inn-style cottage villa is recently remodeled and is closer to the highway, I always travel with ear plugs, so non-issue for us. Central common areas: kitchen bar, living room with great stone gas fireplace, atrium to second floor's 2 dbl bed suites, 2 king suites off living room. All suites have individual small fridge, micro, tv, full bathroom(no tubs). Bottom floor King suites Azzuro and Verde boast separate deluxe gas wall fireplaces, a/c, huge deluxe dual shower with great pressure & double sinks. Choose Verde for less highway exposure and Azzuro for more pond/ducks/vineyard views. Attention to lux detail abound, lovely towels, bedding, furnishings, lamps, dishes, glasses, tile, marble, wood. Peacocks out the window... We came here off-season over 4 days during the week and had the 4-suite villa completely to ourselves! 100 acres of vineyard and a small but very attentive and caring staff & owner available 11am-5pm. SMC Wine tasting on the premises with some tasty white & red selections including a complimentary bottle for Inn guests! Service was above and beyond! Maid service for most stays. We highly recommend this owner-operated facility, staff and location, very close via 101 highway south to downtown Paso Robles(restaurants, shops, tasting rooms), highway 46 east/west wine trails etc.

Four beautiful bedrooms in a separate building. Cereal, coffee, fruit & milk, plus snacks. Management on site only during wine tasting hours- 10:00 am to 5:00 p.m. No host to greet you. Pretty much on your own .

When a place charges this much, it should be exceptional, and this was just "better than most". The room was large and comfortable ... but the light switches (of which there were many) were not marked and a lot of trial and error to get lights turned on and off, The parking is around front at the tasting room, which is not at all convenient if you have any sort of luggage to bring in. There was no housekeeping ... so we made our own beds. I would expect more at this price point.

We stayed during the mid week as to avoid the crowds. We had the lnn completely to ourselves for 2 days. Everyone leave after 5 and you are left to your own devices. That being said. You have everything you could want right in your room. The staff was so kind from the beginning to the end of the stay. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room. They put little snacks in your room and many more including fruit and cereal in the lovely common room. The rooms are very big and robes and slippers provided. The grounds are beautiful and very peaceful. If you need to destress and get away from it all. This is your place.
