On 3/23/22 we booked a room for Mothers Day Weekend - May 6 & 7 2022 and invited friends to join us. That same weekend The Allegretto was the venue for a wedding with music. I should think a block of rooms would have been reserved for wedding guests as well. One would think The Allegretto would consider the location of the celebration and it's proximity to guest rooms. One would also reason that wedding guests would be at the celebration and not in their room sleeping. With that said, rooms affected by the 90db* music should have been exclusively for guests associated with the wedding that was undoubtedly booked long before our booking. The Allegretto management apparently decided to share the experience and we were Allegretto's "Plus One". Our room, #219 was located directly over the ballroom. Even though we were not invited to the Saturday evening party, it was as if we were in the ballroom minus our choice of the Salmon or Chicken for our entrees. From the Ballroom 1 floor below, with every thump of the DJ pre-recorded double base petal drum, blasting from the Mega-Watt system, our room, like a snare drum was the rhythmic rattling of doors & drawers, vents & vanities, lamps & luggage, Walls & wastebaskets. At the crescendo a tsunami formed in the toilet. .... Gone was the serene weekend of dining and wine tasting. Richard Verruni "Rich" Allegretto's General Manager, acknowledged that they could have done better and admitted they typically put guests not associated with a party further away. These rooms command a premium rate on weekends so when Rich offered us a "party favor" in the form of a WEEKDAY VOUCHER, it just didn't quite seem fair. Moreover, Rich made no representations that the voucher would cover the entire cost of 1 night. Unimpressed with Rich's "generous offer" Rich instead exerted his authority with a something less than a 15% credit applied directly to my credit card. In short: Before Covid, as it's only a 3 hour drive, we came to Paso, 3-4 times a year. This was not our 1st stay at The Allegretto, it was our 4th. We come with friends and have recommended The Allegretto to many friends. Rich's attempt to satisfy this guest was poorly executed and while it's difficult to monetize this failure, it for sure will be more costly than crediting us 1 night or a voucher of equal value. * How loud is 90dBS? What an amazing stay! Inspiring: Along the frescos, art pieces, and inspiring walks trough middle age gardens, I was the King for a night, leaved in a palace on top of hill, where from the windows I saw the vines, and in the gardens the court laughed drinking wine with the finest cheese. I had a hundred fine silk cloaks, a private chef, a bronze casted bell marking the hours from the clock tower. Around midnight, the Queen woke up the King from his dream, -you snore, go to the other room, and close the door- Finally, the fine silk cloaks became a sofa, behind the hills in the other room. Analytic: A perfect experience, memorable. Seeing the staff at work, in deed a perfect synchronized operation, the smiles, the welcoming and the warm atmosphere defines the grounds for a perfect experience. The attention to detail is visible in the presentation, the steak cooked yo perfection, the potatoes, out of this world, and the service, outstanding. The room, inviting, clean, organize, from the bathroom towels, to the extra blanket in the closet, at hand, useful. Bed super comfortable, (sofa as well) Fire place and room amenities makes you feel at home! Kudos to Allegretto Vineyard Resort and Cello Restaurant’s staff, for a magnificent stay. Thank you for the hospitality! Best, Marta & Marcello…
Excellent accommodations, friendly staff, beautiful grounds, delicious dessert and breakfast. Our first time but won’t be our last. The pillows were a little on the soft/flimsy side but that would be our only feedback for consideration. Thank you
We had an excellent terrace room that opened onto fascinating grounds. Hotel and restaurant service are world class. You encounter great art and intriguing pastimes just by walking around, Access to the Santa Ynez wineries is unparalleled.
We had a wonderful stay at Allegretto! The grounds were meticulously cared for and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The collection of artwork is pretty impressive, and we enjoyed checking out art pieces both inside the hotel and on the grounds. We look forward to another stay at this beautiful resort if our travels bring us back to Pasa Robles.
Beautiful hotel! Loved strolling the property and seeing all of the artwork. What a peaceful setting! Wine tasting with Sheila as our hostess was another highlight, and dinner at Cello was delicious! A delightful stay overall!
We stayed here because it was close to the concert venue, Vina Robles. I made reservations directly with the hotel as no vacancy was shown on the 3rd party websites. It’s a good thing that I did make reservations directly with the hotel, the concert canceled 30 hours before showtime, not enough time to cancel the hotel. They kindly let me rebook Saturday night for Monday instead, we were already staying Sunday night. The hotel is beautiful, it resembles an Italian villa. The grounds has a zen feel, but inside is Italian art, with a sprinkle of Asian. The hotel felt more like a destination than just a place to sleep. We had intended to go downtown Paso Robles, but we found that the wine room would take walk-ins. We drank wine and ate cheese while enjoying the outdoor patio. Our room was beautiful, clean and spacious. We regretted not staying a 3rd night.…
This is an excellent facility with excellent service. High ceilings in the rooms. Up to date decor. My room was modern with all amenities. It was our base for wine touring for seven days. I'd do it again.
Friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful hotel great amenities. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pits at night sipping on a yummy drink from the bar. Had fun riding the bikes provided by the hotel. Very relaxing and would stay there again.
Allegretto is such a beautiful location for weddings, couples retreat or even business meetings and retreats. The staff is great, the grounds and rooms are beautiful. I will most definitely be coming back!
