This visit to Allegretto took us back to Italy and France in just over 2 hours by car from Silicon Valley. It’s like a mini Louvre - Italian statues, Egyptian art, paintings are carefully placed in the property. Food, wine, European ambiance and friendliness of staff were top notch. The garden was impressive! We enjoyed checking out the plants and how well they’re placed, the swings, fountains and landmarks. Pool had the morning sun (kids enjoyed seeing their breakfast rolled in to the poolside). We had friendly bocce ball games, the labyrinth, outdoor giant chess and zodiac trails were fun to do (like a scavenger hunt for kids). There are comfy chairs and benches scattered around the property to relax and chat. We need at least 3 nights here next time. Plus, downtown is just 4 minutes away if you want locally made ice cream and cookies in Paso Walk.

Such a beautiful place, what a great find! The grounds are so nice and very spacious, a lot of thoughtful planning went into this resort. Can't wait to return and spend a little more time there. Bed was nice and comfy staff at front desk were very nice and the bell hop was so helpful I wish I could remember his name. We bought a bottle of wine and sat outside by the firepit, what a lovely evening. Just wish we could of stayed longer.

Amazing experience. It has all that you could ask for in the way of beauty, comfort, food. I would say one of my only drawbacks was when I had booked the two rooms I had specifically asked if the rooms could be together. I called a week before to confirm and was reassured it was noted. When we checked in only one room was ready. But the other room was right next door and they would let us know. When they called and we went to get the keys we were told that the other room was across the courtyard. I inquired because we were assured at check in we would get it. The staff said it was a maintenance issue however a little later on someone did occupy that room. Our initial representative was much friendlier than our second.

Room Tip: In the summer you probably would want a room on the south side. It has more shade.

My wife and I stayed at Allegretto property May 30th for 1 night. We have arrived at the property shortly before 9pm. During the check in process we asked the receptionist if the restaurant was still open and she told us the restaurant would be open until 10pm. In fact when we went to have dinner we have learned the restaurant was closed and the bar was not serving food. The only food selection was a sampler plate with most items that we could not eat due to our dietary restrictions. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. At around midnight we heard the water dripping noise at the bathroom. There are 2 sinks in the bathroom they had the drain (dark) water coming up and overflowing onto the floor of the bathroom flooding the floor. We had to keep putting towels, blankets, sheets, etc on the floor trying to stop the flooding. We called the front desk multiple times at midnight at 12;30am, 1 am but no one was answering. Finally, we were able to reach the receptionist at 4am explaining the emergency and he only told us that he would bring extra towels but the maintenance technician was on the property until 6:30 am and that the maintenance would come straight to us. This has not happened. I called the front desk again at 8:30am and only then they sent the maintenance technician who, upon checking the issue, did nothing because he said he had no tools and just left after emptying some of the water using the in-room garbage been and saying that he needed to call the plumber. We brought up the issue to the manager on duty (Carly) who said she did not know anything and started to talk very loudly to us and credited $200 off the room charge of $305 and the hotel restaurant charge of $133( we bought a bottle of wine there and the food platter that we have not ordered and could not eat food on it in the first place). Carly also said that the general manager would call us to follow up but no none has called us!!! IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A GOOD STAY FOR YOUR HOLIDAY AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!
