My partner and I recently spent two nights at Hotel Cheval. We were meant to stay for one night, but the hotel was so lovely, we added an extra night. It was gorgeous. We loved the rooms, the library, the bar and the courtyard, particularly with the open fires. It could not have been more elegant. The staff were wonderful.

My partner and I just visited Hotel Cheval for 2 nights celebrating our anniversary. It was our first time in Paso Robles and we were hoping to create a special memory. Hotel Cheval was the perfect choice! The staff was incredibly helpful leading up to the visit and helped book dinner reservations and schedule a couples massage at their spa....

We travel many times during the year to Paso Robles and this is our go-to-hotel. We consider it our "home away from home". It is beautifully decorated, comfortable and a perfect location downtown. Close to all the shops and restaurants.

This is a lovely, intimate, very nicely appointed hotel with a gracious and welcoming staff. My husband and I were lucky to get a room during the low season traveling from Los Angeles to British Columbia, as there are only a few rooms and really no other competition in Paso Robles. The hotel is perfectly located right off the main...

We consider this to be the best place to stay in Paso Robles. The location is near the town square and within walking distance to many good restaurants and other shops. It is a great place to stay while visiting the numerous vineyards and wineries in the area. The staff is very accommodating, friendly, and very helpful. The rooms are...

If you want a dog friendly hotel with well appointed rooms, great staff, and a perfect location for eating, drinking and walking, this is your place. The hotel is small and intimate. Rooms are nicely appointed, down to the complimentary robe and slippers. The breakfast, which is included is hearty and a great way to start your day, especially if...

We visit Paso Robles several times a year and we always choose to stay at Hotel Cheval. Our reasons for staying there include - very attentive service both from the hotel staff and the Pony Club bar staff; the property with it's interior courtyard is beautiful; the rooms are well appointed and spacious; and little details like wine tastings for...

This is my favorite hotel in central California. Such a beautiful quaint boutique hotel. The rooms are lovely and the courtyard is beautiful as well. We like to stay here on our way down to or back from LA, Palm Springs, or San Diego to San Francisco, it makes the drive so much more enjoyable.

There is nothing that I can really complain about this charming hotel. I did not find it noisy or unappealing in anyway. In fact, I was so pleasantly surprised I will return. I did have some initial snafus because I had gone through Hotels.com. However, it was resolved after a bit of telephone tag and email correspondence. I found the...
