This place is perfection! Beautiful, quiet rooms with top notch housekeeping. Included breakfast features hot items and lattes. Check in and front office staff is attentive and professional. Evening s’mores service is to die for. Great location right downtown. This place can’t be beat!

You can read all the positive reviews and believe them. Well trained, friendly, outgoing staff, beautiful rooms, perfect location. Loved the breakfast. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. OK, I poo-poo'd the idea of s'mores initially, but after having one, I had several....

On August 29th, my wife and I returned for a few days at the charming luxury boutique Hotel Cheval in Paso Robles. We went there for a little rest and relaxation and private wine tour that the hotel provided. It was a four hour tour of wineries determined between us and the wine tour guide, Wade; He was knowledgeable of wines and the wineries. We booked the deluxe room this time and it came with a very nice private balcony. The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was really nice with good product. Since we were returning guests the hotel gave us a nice bottle of rose champagne. The library still had candy in jars available to guests as well as their s'mores served by the s'more butler in front of the several fireplaces in the evenings. COVID protocol was followed very well and we felt completely safe. The hotel is set in the middle of town and walking distance to almost all of the restaurants. Gourmet Breakfast was served in the Cheval bar All in all a perfect place to relax and recharge.

Dear Choogee, Thank you much for taking the time to write such a detailed review, we really appreciate the feedback. I am so pleased that you second visit was as good as the first and that you enjoyed your anniversary celebration! Wade is a wonderful wine tour guide and there is not much that he doesn't know about Paso wines. Please do come back and see us again, maybe for next year's anniversary! Sincerely, Jayne Christman, General Manager

Fantastic, small, boutique, luxury hotel, in the center of downtown Paso Robes. Sumptuous, well-appointed rooms are a stand-out. Excellent customer service from before check-in (booked the hotel's wine tour), to check-in, to check out. Offered on-site EV charge in attached covered parking. Refined, quiet, excellent. The only aspect that was less than 5 stars was an adequate breakfast in the morning: not bad, just not to the same standard as the smores and the balance of the full experience. We look forward to our next visit!

Our party of seven couples stayed at Hotel Cheval last week. It is truly a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of Paso Robles. I cannot say enough about the professional, friendly, and helpful staff. Jayne Christmann, the general manager, helped me with the wine tastings for our group. She is extremely knowledgeable about the "east" and "west" side vineyards, and recommended just the right combination. She made the reservations for us and made sure we had dinner reservations each night. Doreen helped us with any request we had during our stay. The entire staff was great. And then were are the S'mores at night!! I highly recommend Hotel Cheval!!
