Overall, a very nice, clean facility and nice RV sites. Concrete pads, 30/50 amp, water, sewer, and cable hookups. However, of the 130 sites, only 10 (or so) of them were available for visitors like us; the rest of them were taken by long-term/full timers. We were told when we checked in that we were lucky to get in, that most of the RV park was occupied by long-termers, and that their goal was to eventually make the entire park a long-term resident park. Unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be much enforcement of any rules for the full-timers there. For example, several of them were old, dilapidated and run-down rigs, and there were a few full timers there who had obvious full-timer furniture outside their rigs, like old, torn vinyl recliners, tables, chairs, etc. Many of the long term sites had multiple vehicles crammed into the sites, partially blocking the main driving lanes, and there wasn’t a single “guest” parking spot available for the entire 4 days we were there. Additionally, the nighttime security guard was quite overzealous. He was dressed in a uniform with a ballistic vest, had some sort of handheld radar gun, and *literally* sprinted after us, trying to pull us over with his flashlight because we were driving 17 MPH through the park (the speed limit was 5). Overall, not a terrible experience, but we most definitely will not be staying here again. If you’re looking for resort style amenities, save your money and go to Cava Robles.…
Very well set up. Concrete pad separated by 7 ft hedge highlighted with mini rose plants at each end. Beautiful pool area-2 pools and hot tub with abundant sun chairs. It was raining while we were here but it looks like the pools and hot tub are open all year, which I very much appreciate. A large dog park. Fenced. Grass. Poop bags and a couple of chairs. Don't bother with the small dog park. All dirt. About 8 x 8. Very clean laundry room. 4 washers. 4 dryers. $2 wash. $1.75 dry. Keypad entry to laundry and pool. Met several longtime residents. Was pleasantly surprised they didn't come with the clutter of many park full-timers. Easy access to shopping and freeways. Pull-thrus, backins and many park models. Very pleasant check-in staff. Would love to spend more time here. Only complaint is that the laundry room didn't have any carts to haul laundry from washer to dryer. Most parks don’t have carts. I wonder why……
Well honestly it is right off the freeway! The park has several full timers. The kids are bored and ride their bikes, scooters, non stop all day, all evening. Covid has shut the pool to 9 to 4 use only! No hot tub, activities, or game room! 2 showers and stalls opened 24 hours, one night no toliet paper or seat covers ! it's also in need of cobweb and vent cleaning. Shower heads could be replaced. Front restrooms are very nice but closed after 4 pm! I think they should review time on this, and pool til 8pm. Especially, if you spent all day doing things and on a hot day would like to swim! No, visible security on premise. Lots of broken lights at pads. We had to call in some idiots burning a wood fire! They had Sparks asperating all over the park! Pads are concrete, big pull throughs, with picnic tables. There are lots of shade trees. I saw a dog park in back. They also have nice park models for stays. Store is not stocked with very much, but truck stop for gas is right across highway. If you are ok with highway noise, loud kids, and limited options on amenities then this would be an ok spot. It is close to town and wineries, mission, etc. Research your options, it is not resort like as stated. I hope cava Robles is nicer for the price.…
We enjoyed our stay here visiting friends. The staff was very friendly and helpful, however, their policy of not answering the phone seems a bit ridiculous since there were always two people working at the front desk. We had to change sites because we didn't quite fit into the one we were assigned and I had to jog in the 100-degree heat to the office to request the change. Why would you not let your employees answer the phone when two of them are twiddling thier thumbs at the front desk? The pools were very clean and the perfect temperature and the piped-in music was very enjoyable. It's a great place for a stop-over but if we weren't visiting friends, I'd have looked for a different place for a five-day stay. The sites are very close to each other. There is much to do in town and an Uber ride is around $25.00 each way. Our friends told us that bar with pool tables at the park was great but we wound up playing in town. You may want to check it out and save the $50.00 fare. All in all, a nice place to stay.…
This is not the first time we have stayed at this resort, We were looking forward to the pool area and spa this evening. We went over at about 7 and found lots of kids in the pools without parents there and kids in the spa, The sign indicates no children under 14 allowed in the spa, but this didn't matter. The kids in the pool were ridiculous and cursing. We understand that kids will be kids, but this was unbelievable. The office was closed so we went to the restaurant which is on site to see who we could talk to. The man behind the bar identified himself as the manager and told us we would need to address these issues ourselves. .The park rules indicate that children under 15 need to have parental guidance at the pool. I know kids will be kids, but this was unnecessary and ruined our time at the pool/spa area. The fact that management does not care, speaks volumes. We will not be back to this RV park, and there are several here in the area, so I wish them luck!…
We stayed at The Vines RV Resort during the California Mid-State Fair every year to attend a couple of concerts there. This park is about 2-3 miles north of Paso Robles on Hwy. 101 just off of the freeway. Even though it's right along the freeway, traffic noise has never been an issue here. We have stayed here numerous times and actually like it better than it's sister resort in Paso (Wine Country RV Resort). It is very convenient to get to the fair from here (we use the complimentary shuttle service provided by the fair) and to shop, pick up items or go out to eat. The park is VERY well maintained and the staff is very courteous and attentive to it's visitors. It's a little pricey but competitive with comparable parks in the area.I highly recommend this resort.
Absolutely beautifully well maintained property. Clean, activities to participate in. sparkling pools, sitting areas, Fire pit, spas, secure doggie park just a bit too close to the freeway if you are assigned a spot on the perimeter
I might be in the minority, in fact I know I am because all the other rigs were huge, and we were in a 19’ trailer. The place is certainly clean, but I felt like I was in a mortuary. I believe the architect designs mortuaries and RV parks. It was pricey, $100, more than I’ve ever paid. And for that you do get flat pavement, amenities, and strict rules. But, truly, for many people, this might be the cat’s meow. Oh, and then there’s the noise. Loud 101 traffic until 2am. To be fair, I prefer more natural settings and a little dirt.
Don’t stay here if you expect to sleep because it’s like camping out underneath a freeway. At this price ($89 + tax) you might expect to rest a little. Not gonna happen. The freeway racket never stops.
We stayed in one the rental accommodations which we called the “tiny house”. The accommodations were great, bedroom in the back, a loft upstairs, kitchen, bathroom, and living area. We had been staying in hotels for a few days and it was a nice alternative to a hotel room. Staff at the check in were friendly and helpful.
