We were lucky enough to find an available night at The Inn at Opolo during Harvest Week and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality of Rick Quinn and his staff. While the room was nicely appointed, the real treat is all the extras Opolo has to offer. The appetizer platter the night of arrival was abundant and paired well with the complimentary wine and a tasty pizza from the wine tasting venue. We met Rick who shared his love of the winery and his deep attachment to his heritage, culture, and cuisine. Breakfast was delicious and Anne thought of everything to make us feel like family. If you spend a little time at Opolo, where the wines are excellent in quality and diversity, you can't help but appreciate the family-owned spirit and attention to its guests. Next October, we will try to get tickets to the Harvest Weekend festivities to enjoy Balkan music, dancing, and food with plenty of wine! Thank you, Anne, Rick, and staff!…
We stayed 3 nights. Beautiful vineyard and garden which we explored. We spent a night watching a sunset from the highest point. Enjoyed delicious breakfast each morning and spent an evening tasting their wines and wood fire pizza. Impeccable service and attention to detail. Just a perfect stay. Thank you
The Inn at Opolo is very quiet, relaxing and beautiful. You arrive to a bottle of their wine in your room and in the kitchen for you. They give an amazing gourmet breakfast each morning and an evening charcuterie board each night plus the fridge is full of sodas and waters for your to have. The staff are very friendly and always willing to assist. Their tasting room has food also so you can enjoy your lunch or dinner on site without having to worry about driving to and from. We have been there a few times and we will be back. The gentleman who served us at the Inn was from Serbia and extremely nice....he couldn't do enough for us! THANK YOU for a wonderful weekend get a way!
The winery and distillery are great on their own. However they have three nicely appointed rooms on a hillside near the winery. The setting is among acres and acres of grapes. We had a nice long walk one morning before the excellent fresh cooked breakfast. There is a bottle of wine in your room as well as chocolate chip cookies and chocolate candy. There is a nice deck with lounge chairs, a perfect setting for sipping wine at the end of the day. In addition, you receive a large tray of assorted cheeses, shrimp, ahi, grapes, and other goodies each day. A very nice experience especially at the end of the pandemic. Also a 10% discount if you join the wine club. We definitely will return. (in room fireplace)
We stayed for one night at the Inn, and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the inner workings of a successful vineyard in action. From walking to the ridge at sunset with our beautiful and delicious hor d'oeuvres platter and gazing out over rolling acres of grapes, to the chicken coop, to the organic garden mere steps from our room, the entire visit was sublime. Our hostess Anne was gracious and detail-oriented, and we were fortunate to talk with the owner Rick, as well as talk with farm hands about the pruning effort underway. The breakfast was superb (chiliquiles are a MUST!) and Opolo wines speak for themselves- they are excellent!
