Staying at the Inn at Opolo is one of the best experiences my wife and I have enjoyed in Paso Robles. From the views, to the quaintness of the inn itself, and the friendliness of the waitstaff, this experience can't be beat. The breakfast is amazing and the complementary mimosas don't hurt either. The beds are comfy and the rooms are very cozy. You can walk the vineyards or relax on the deck overlooking the garden. It's really amazing in every way and I don't think we've ever had anything negative to say in the three times we have stayed there.

Property's Favorite Review
My husband and I have stayed here three times, the last two we brought friends with us. It's lovely and quiet, away from the tasting room, but on the vineyard property. It has only 3 rooms, which are very comfortable, and share a common kitchen with ice, water, tea, coffee, bottles of wine, etc. But the setting is what makes it so special. It's adjacent to a beautifully laid out vegetable garden & fruit orchard. And a chicken coop of interesting-breed chickens. Every morning, someone harvests the eggs & garden, and makes us breakfast. Every evening, there's a platter of appetizers left for us in the kitchen refrigerator. And a friendly cat that owns the place comes to socialize with us on the deck. And my only regret is that after posting this review, they may not have room for OUR party, when we want to visit next.

Intimate 3 room Inn located atop a hill near the winery. Staff are personable, friendly and will help you with making your visit unforgettable. Complementary afternoon appetizers and wine and free tastings. We’re return guests and the service is excellent!

With just three guest rooms, the Inn at Opolo is a hidden gem. We were two couples traveling together and wine tasting in the Paso Robles area. The location was perfect for that purpose. Our rooms were each different and very spacious. We had access to a kitchen with the most extraordinary coffee maker I have ever seen. You want a freshly brewed decaf mocha latte? Done. In the evening each couple was treated to a bottle of Opolo wine and a beautiful appetizer plate with the freshest meats, fish, fruit, cheese, and crackers. That bottle was in addition to the welcome bottle of Opolo wine we received when we arrived. We never went out to dinner because the delicious appetizers were so filling. The included breakfasts were also amazing, beginning with mimosas and a cup of fresh fruit smothered in whipped cream with a berry on top. Pure decadence! The rooms were very clean and the beds exceptionally comfortable. Located in a vineyard, the Inn is very quiet and peaceful, with views of the landscape. If we are in the Paso Robles area again, I would definitely return to the Inn at Opolo.

What a hidden gem. Have been going to Paso for years and we just stayed for the first time. Already rebooked for a trip in the fall. If you want to feel spoiled in a clean, quiet, romantic setting this is the place to stay. Every aspect of the stay was top notch!!’

This was the second stay here for my wife and I, and it was just was excellent as the first time. This time our friends, another couple, booked another room here during the same weekend and it was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway with privacy, autonomy, fine food, and beautiful scenery. The town of Paso Robles is a short ride away, and on Friday evening we were able to get a rideshare app ride to and from The Inn for dinner reservations. The beds are perfect for our preference, with plush linens and soft yet firm mattress. The room we booked has a deep jet tub for a good soak, and the included bottles of wine and appetizer platter each day were perfect for idle grazing.

The Inn at Opolo was a wonderful start to our stay in Paso Robles. Sadly, we were only able to spend one night here as the three rooms book up quickly. Book your reservation early! While you arrive at the tasting room for "check-in", you are quickly escorted up to the lodging area away from the parking lot and up a separate road to the rooms. Rooms are comfortable with gas fireplace and veranda (deck) with lounge chairs where you can enjoy your complimentary bottle(s) of Opolo wine and your welcome charcuterie tray. Staff is gracious and welcoming. Best views are when you leave your room and take a sunset or early morning walk through the quiet, rolling vineyards, or when you step out of your room late at night and gaze up at the stars against the fully darkened sky. This is a beautiful place and a great value with generous wine tasting, bottles of Opolo wine, welcoming tray and wonderful, fresh breakfast included. Inn is well located to many other excellent Paso wineries, but is a 25+ minute drive, along some very dark, winding roads, to the great restaurants in downtown Paso.

Two nights at the Inn celebrating wife's birthday-a first-class experience in all respects. Mourvedre is luxurious and well appointed, The daily appetizer platter (e.g., jumbo prawns, seared ahi tuna) and complimentary bottle of wine was more than enough for our dinner. We enjoyed them on the porch watching evening fall. Delicious and ample breakfast selections, plus 24-hr coffee and snacks available in the breakfast room. Complimentary wine tasting followed by beautiful afternoon stroll through the vineyards. Will definitely return.

After a wonderful stay at the Inn last January, we immediately made plans to return for our anniversary in September, during the harvest. Everything we enjoyed about the Inn last time was repeated. The accommodations, staff, food, and amenities were wonderful. If you enjoy Opolo wine, it is quite special to be welcomed to you suite with a bottle of their sparkling wine, and a delicious array of cheese, meat, olives and fruit to accompany it on your afternoon arrival. Additionally, guests are provided an additional bottle of Opolo wine each day, and another delightful tray of edible treats. Breakfast is another treat as guests are provided an array of choices ranging from eggs any style, quiche, pancakes, steel cut oatmeal, bacon, hashed brown potatoes, etc. I highly recommend that Inn guests take the opportunity to walk through the vineyard, and the vegetable garden and orchard surrounding the Inn.

The room was very nice and the food was lovely. But the place has issues. The Inn is about half a mile away from the winery. We arrived at the winery to do a tasting and check in. After being escorted to the tasting room, we waited for 10 minutes, and nobody greeted us or offered to give us any wine. Finally, we got assertive and got somebody else to help us, and she was lovely. Nobody bothered to tell us the tasting was complimentary until after the tasting was over. We wanted to check in, but had to wait another 10 minutes. The inn is just three guest room and a balcony, with a shared kitchen. No actual services or lobby. View is okay but not great. Breakfast is either in the basic kitchen or outside facing a driveway. There was a fly problem when we were there. The nearby chicken coop maybe? Overall, kind of overpriced for what you get.
