If you Love the idea of wineries and olive groves, then you will enjoy visiting Paso Robles California. We stayed in the Tuscany suite of the Villa Nel Mondo Bed and Breakfast. The Building itself is of beautiful design & well-chosen décor. The views are 360 degrees of beauty as you are perched at the top of the hill overlooking gently rolling hills all around you. The suite was the nicest place we stayed in, on our trip in California. Considering the average price of a decent hotel room, this was a Very nice option, the room is well represented in the pictures on their web page & it is even nicer in person. As it is on the second floor, you can enjoy those views out of all the windows. We found the room to be clean, well maintained, no odd smells nor stains. As it was chilly outside overnight – we had no issues with the climate control of the suite. Plenty of water pressure & warm water for showers. Even with the city lights in the distance, on our evening, the clear night sky revealed the stars – wonderful indeed. Mitch prepared us a nice breakfast with a variety of jams/spreads along with Breads, eggs & bacon, coffee, juice, yogurt, fruit – we were very satisfied. The two dogs on the property are very friendly and well behaved (fyi … they love bacon) Before leaving we took a walk on the property in the morning, very serene, lots of birds & rabbits enjoying the morning with us. Sadly it is currently not a winery nor is there wine tasting, it is just a B&B. I have to mention this, as that was my main point of attraction – I would probably have booked it anyway, but I would have enjoyed it more had I known that in advance. Would I book it again next time I come to Paso Robles? Yes Great for those: who love gently rolling hills & things that remind them of Italy. Not so Great for those: who are not comfortable with isolation or seclusion.

We just returned from Paso and stayed in the Tuscany Suite. Our host Mitch was a great host and breakfast was delicious. We will stay again. Short drive to town and wineries. On the last night my husband was ill so we could not go out to dinner. Mitch was gracious enough to let me use the kitchen to cook for him. Looking forward to our next stay.

This is the second time this summer we've stayed at Villa Nel Mondo. The setting is tranquil and the views wonderful. We enjoyed watching the wildlife around the place and being greeted by the dogs (they are very well mannered). The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. Mitch and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We were there to spend time on the nearby lake and there was plenty of parking at the villa for our boat. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding yet close to town and wineries. Enjoy staying here much better than a hotel in town! Highly recommend!

The room is huge with windows on three walls so you are surrounded by views. The sheets and towels were soft and the bed comfortable. Everything was very clean. We had just driven from Scottsdale so instead of heading back into town for dinner local friends brought dinner to us. We had a delicious picnic on the patio watching sunset. The owner, Mitch, could not have been more accommodating, leaving some wine in the fridge for us and allowing us to use whatever we needed from the kitchen. Mitch made us a great breakfast before we set out for the day.
