Yesterday was my first time staying at the Langham Huntington and I've lived in Pasadena my entire life. We needed a place to stay while we upgraded our electricity panel. They offered me a package deal with a $50 food credit and free parking, which makes the stay at this luxury hotel very reasonable. One of the reasons why I'm writing this review is because we received extra-special attention by the Front Desk. Breakfast at the Terrace Restaurant was a real treat. You feel the history while walking the beautiful corridors and grounds, which are meticulously manicured. The room was nicely decorated, very clean, with a balcony overlooking the pool, Nespresso, and a mini-fridge (they also offer a microwave). I can't wait to return to the Langham when we do more upgrades to our house!

A slice of heaven and a feeling of being home, with top shelf service and attention to detail. This is what a hotel should be like, feel like, and look like with nothing but good memories. Take it from Curator of all things Pasadena ! Safe Travels

We stayed 2 nights with our 2 medium size dogs while we were evacuated from our home during the Bobcat Fire. The first night we had stayed at a local hotel close to home. It was not a pleasant experience so we called The Langham. From that phone call to our arrival and finally to our departure, we had the best experience. All of the staff were friendly. The regulars remembered our names. The room was spacious and comfortable. The dogs were provided pink doggie beds which they loved. The spacious grounds were great for walking the dogs. The Terrace Restaurant was great. I would go back in a heartbeat. I will definitely go for drinks in one of the bars and for dinner in the restaurant once they are able to re-open. If I had to make one recommendation it would be to add a shower separate from the bathtub. That's all I can think of.

My husband and I just got back from our 1 night stay at The Langham and could not wait to post this review! We had an exceptional time and I want to share with all my TA peeps why! We live less than 10 miles away and have always been curious about this gorgeous, historic hotel but never really had a reason for a splurge. Flash forward to now -- we're newlyweds that didn't have a honeymoon, middle of a pandemic so cooped up in the house for months, and Summer is almost over. I didn't want to do Palm Springs area yet again so we thought let's try the Langham and stay close to home! Perfect! Even though a lot is closed due to Covid-19 (hot tub, gym, most of the restaurants, ect), we didn't mind and actually there were some pluses to that. We very much enjoyed their clean saline Olympic size pool for lap swimming (open 6am-10pm), tons of loungers to Sun worship, 5-star hotel service, pool bar called The Hideaway that also serves light grab-n-go foods (which you have to order food to get drinks bc then it would technically be a bar which is a no no for LA county hehe), and beautiful grounds to walk around and explore. They also have tennis courts and bikes to borrow and a restaurant called The Terrace is still open on the patio, but we did not have time. The cool thing about staying NOW vs. regular times is that it was not crowded -- it felt very private and even more spacious which is perfect for covid-19 times! I thought it was a very unique and intimate way to experience this hotel because it's not normal! Another great thing I want to mention is that even though some of the restaurants and areas were closed, they still allowed guests to hang, work or just chill there in the beautiful rooms and every door was open to allow you to freely move through the property. I really liked the Tap Room and can see myself sipping a cocktail when it returns - very classy but chic! There was also so much common patio space it was incredible! Right now - this hotel seems really great for people that want quiet (all ages, couples, singles, etc), people with younger kids because there is so much grounds to run around / kick a soccer ball etc safely, and people that appreciate ornate historic hotels and gardens! Tips and FYI's: - If you're hungry or thirsty poolside, we ordered and really liked the Citrus Poached Shrimp (came w/ delish cocktail sauce, lemon wedge in mesh holder nice touch, and roasted almonds), Italian Sandwich (so much meat! lol had to eat it open-face and came w/ pickles and homemade chips), Langham cookies (homemade fresh soft chocolate chip cookies so good omg yum), and the Pina Colada was excellent. They also serve this vodka/watermelon/sparkling water stuff in a can which was very refreshing! - If you want to order delivery from like DoorDash for example (I was craving sushi so we ordered from Kabuki lol) - all you need to do is indicate your room # on the address part of the delivery info and put in the instructions to "Deliver to Lobby". After you place your order, call down to the front lobby desk and give them a heads up about the order and the hotel staff will bring to your room or pool, etc. - The mini fridge in our room was empty (maybe a Covid thing) so you could bring snacks or drinks if you wanted to. - Lot's of directional signage and sanitizer stations throughout the property (you dispense them with a foot pedal). We look forward to staying again and hope to check out the Tap Room and Royce Steakhouse in live action, relax in the hot tub, and play tennis! Shout to Nancy, Miguel, Natalie, Jessica and the other staff for making us feel welcome even though we were only there for 1 full day! Hope to see you soon - I bet this hotel is gorgeous for the holiday times!!!!

We had been planning our trip for months, and we were so excited about staying at the historic Langham Huntington. Unfortunately, the state was ordered shut down on the exact date we were supposed to check in. I appreciated the hotel's willingness to work with us to resolve this unfortunate situation, which was no one's fault, and I look forward to traveling to Los Angeles as soon as it's safe. Until then, I will be dreaming of tea at the lovely Langham Huntington...
