The front desk manager, Sally, was extremely helpful in assisting us in cancelling a Booking.com reservation made in error at the motel. She listened and found a remedy that was much to our satisfaction. We stayed just one night at the Ponderosa Garden and found it to be a jewel of a property. The room was huge and cozy at... More

As a motel, this is an excellent property (don't compare to high end hotel). Very clean and nice property. Set off the road, so very quiet. We stayed in room that is not facing pool, as very sensitive to noise. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Pool is a little small, but nice area and refreshing in 100+heat. Would stay... More

We stayed here overnight last Easter weekend. It was recommended by our client for whom we were doing a DJ job Saturday night. This was a very comfortable, cozy spot. It was clean and well stocked... not the newest furniture but clean and in good repair is all I really need. The staff was very sweet and the grounds quite... More

This place was all I hoped it would be and more! I liked it was away from the busy road and the grounds were just lovely. Our room was quite large and a bonus was having a sink both inside and outside the bathroom. We didn't use the pool but enjoyed the patio while we were there. I read an... More

Last minute we needed a place to stay during Chico state graduation.....and everything is booked and very very expensive. However after the long day and money spent what a beautiful little retreat this was, the room had a balcony with tables and chairs that look out to the pool. Close to pool and it was open late, and boy did... More

We were very happy to find The Ponderosa as we visit family in this area now and then. We stayed in Chico at The Mariott Garden Inn, which we hated, and moved up to Paradise rather than stay at the cement palace on the freeway an extra night. I'm so glad we made the change and will stay at The... More

This hotel was nice but aged. This is great if you are wanting to stay in Paradise and not have to travel back and forth to Chico. The owners were great and we really enjoyed the pool while we were there.

We had a bungalow room. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We got the key to the access gate and utilized the City of Paradise walking trail right behind the motel each morning. Grabbed a quick few items of fruit from the lobby for breakfast. Perfect for our needs and we plan to stay there again when visiting our daughter... More

Peaceful location just of main road. Our room was clean and comfy but not luxurious. The French windows opened onto a private deck with access to the motel garden which featured a largish swimming pool and a hot tub. I wish we could have spared the time to prolong our stay. We would book again.
