I was at Stanford attending a conference and had an amazing experience at The Clement. I loved everything about this hotel and it reminded me of my favorite hotels in Singapore, Lugano and Dubai. I stay in a lot of hotels and most of the time I am ready to return home. I could live at The Clement. The customer service is amazing and staying in a small hotel (23 suites) with everything included is a great experience. The staff (Bernie and Gail) and everyone I came into contact with treated us like royalty. The downside to this hotel is that it makes it difficult to go back to a regular hotel. I've stayed at both the Westin and Four Seasons in Palo Alto and The Clement is superior on every level. The amenities include 3 meals a day, snacks, drinks, beautiful suite, comfortable bed, heated floors, Toto Washlet bidet, Italian linens, soaking tub and a personal note written and signed by Mr. Clement Chen, the owner. This experience is one that you will fondly remember and I highly recommend this hotel.…
The Clement is a jewel. The staff was the best we have experienced out of hundreds we have stayed at. The service was incredible and the chiefs world class. We had a superb time and can't wait to return in the future. It is a perfect holiday.
We spend a lot of time in Palo Alto because of Stanford medical facilities. The Clement has become home for the times our visits require overnight accommodations. The staff knows us and knows what makes us comfortable. Our suite is ready upon arrival and stocked with our personal favorites. The suites are comfortable, but the entire hotel is cozy and feels like we’re staying in a nice home.
What a fantastic hotel! It’s an all-inclusive hotel which is quite unique. Service is top notch. Everyone is very attentive to your every need (without hovering). They think of everything in advance. The the rooms are so comfortable, very well appointed and sparkling clean. And the food! What an amazing treat every single meal was. The chef prepares everything to order…delicious!! My only disappointment was when we had to leave. We all wanted to stay longer. This hotel is a must stay when in the area. I know I will be back for sure.
Everyone at the Clement does a fantastic job in making our stay easy and great. Very service oriented. Just ask Sebastian, bernie, Gail and it will be handled. STAY THERE. it’s a pleasure! Great for family, business, leisure.
The all inclusive style of clement was new to me but welcome. Gayle and the entire staff made my entire stay warm, welcoming, and comfortable. As a solo female traveler I found myself in a bind when my return flight back home was booked at 11pm. Not only did Gayle allow me to maintain use of the property and my room until my departure, she and the staff always checked in to make sure I was comfortable. I’m not staying anywhere else when I find myself in Palo Alto on business.....I’ve clearly found a new family!
The Clement Palo Alto is located across El Camino Real from Stanford University and adjacent to the extensive offices of the Palo Alto medical clinic. It is extremely expensive. My wife and I paid just over $2000 a night for a small suite, which is the smallest accommodation the Clement has. That is an "all inclusive" price. It includes the room, all tips, food, beverages, etc. There are giant TVs and a heated triolet seat. The included food ranges from mediocre to excellent, depending what type of food you ordered.
The Clement, an all-inclusive hotel across the street from Stanford University, is a unique and welcoming place to stay in the Palo Alto area. We have stayed there twice and highly recommend it! All of the rooms at The Clement are suites with large bedrooms, great bathrooms with soaking tubs and a living room area with a complimentary minibar stocked with a wide variety of snacks and drinks based on the preferences you share in your pre-arrival survey. The rooms are designed in a simple, but relaxing style with large windows and automated shades to let in the plentiful natural light. The food at The Clement is quite good. The all-inclusive pricing structure of The Clement encourages trying a lot of different dishes and beverages (which we did) and I was impressed by the quality and variety of a la carte dining options for each meal. The kitchen also has a grab-and-go section where you can easily pick up beverages, a snack or ice cream around meals as needed. In addition to the downstairs area which houses the kitchen and a seating area, The Clement has a small fitness center and a terrific rooftop pool and hot tub. There is plenty of seating on the roof and given the low room count of the hotel there were rarely more than a few other people using the pool at the same time. The service at The Clement is very attentive. It does feel like more of a boutique hotel experience where you will be treated like a person versus a room number and the interactions and setting feel a bit more casual and reflective of the owner’s personality. Overall, The Clement is a wonderful place to stay. I appreciate that it strives for something different than the branded properties in the area. Rather than sprawling facilities and traditional luxury service, The Clement excels with personalization and an all-inclusive structure that eliminates a lot of stress that can occur while traveling. We would happily return and encourage you to consider The Clement in place of the Four Seasons or Rosewood on your next visit to the Palo Alto area!…
We stayed here to attend a U of O vs. Stanford football game. I found this property while exploring lodging close to campus. I am very pleased with the property, food, staff and amenities. I will stay here again. However, when I initially booked, I called back within an hour to report that I had found a cheaper price on line with a travel broker (I think it was a Trip Advisor type site). I spoke with the same woman with whom I had just booked. She found the site and verified that the price was cheaper with the third party, but declined to honor the lower price. I was concerned that I would encounter problems with the loyalty rewards program, so I paid their higher price. Then, upon reading the fine print in the loyalty rewards program language, I saw that their policy is to honor the lower price. The Clement should have honored the lower price I found and confirmed with them, and not told me I could pay their higher price or cancel the reservation and go through the third party. Upon arrival, however, the entire stay was top shelf. …
The personal attention and service is the best we’ve experienced! It felt like we had the entire hotel to ourselves because the staff was ALWAYS right there whenever we needed them. They anticipated or needs before we even realized them.
