The Stanford Terrace is a quirky hotel located right next to the Stanford campus. It was clean, quiet, and had awesome underground parking. The entire facility has a foresty feel due to hundreds of plants in the corridors and lobbies. Very interesting. If you are going to Stanford I highly recommend it. It is right next door and the room...

If you enjoy strangeness, this is for you, as its very comfortable, clean and safe. I guess it's a converted cheapish apartment complex. The rooms have odd dimensions (mine was an enormous double queen) and most of the windows face into the hallway. Mine had a fake fireplace with its own fake fire. Everything, inside and out, is very dim....

Plants and flowers line the courtyard, 3 stories of rooms. The rooms are older but clean and the bed may turn out to be a bit soft. The wifi is good, and the large Samsung tvs have an abundance of channels. In our room there was a little tiny "outdoor courtyard" with 2 chairs and a table. Still, our room...

I felt like I had entered a different world when I entered the Stanford Terrace Inn. Most of what you read in the conflicting reviews is accurate. How is that possible? The rooms are upgraded and stylish--and quite odd, composed of an eclectic collection of mismatched furniture, stylish modern retro bathrooms combined with 1970s closets and fixtures in the dressing...

This is not the newest or fanciest place but the location cannot be beat. Walk across the street to Stanford. Lots of secure parking under the building. Rooms are older but updated, large and clean. HVAC and TVs are up to date. Free wifi. Good free breakfast, not a full buffet but more than continental. Large Starbucks next door.

The cost of lodging in the area is always high and it's hard to find something that is even available. When I found they had availability, at a fair cost for a 4 Star rated hotel I was excited. The property is dated and literally covered in vegetation EVERYWHERE. It isn't done in the most tasteful manner. I think the...

I am a Travel Agent and have only used Stanford Terrace Inn once. The service I received was exceptional. The staff are friendly and very willing to assist, especially when there is an issue with a guest. Hoping to use this hotel again soon.

I stayed here for three days for a meeting at the university. On driving into the basement parking garage it looks a bit ominous. There are pink wall lights and potted plants everywhere. There is a strange roped off area off the parking garage in which a player piano starts to play as you walk by. The overall feeling is...

I work on campus and use the Terrace Inn quite frequently for guests coming in. I've had weekly speakers stay here for about 2 years now and it's always been a comfortable and pleasant experience. The guests enjoy the rooms, excellent service, and breakfast. Recently we held a major conference and had about 40 guests stay here. We booked out...

Great location, lovely gardens. Very pricey but probably not for Palo Alto walking distance both to the Stanford campus and to many, many great restaurants. However, the wireless doesn't work in the lobby. Additionally , and frankly I am still incredulous writing this, I called the front desk about six this morning saying I needed a plunger and was told...
