The Keen hotel rooms are just way too small for $300+ per night. A 2* in Beaulieu, South France is bigger! The desk chair does not fit the room with the bed taking up nearly all of the space. The shower curtain is a poor excuse for a bathroom door. The water pressure in the shower is inadequate. There is... More

Great location. Great design. Nice bed. My room, a standard double, was a bit cramped. Think it would be a challenge for a couple, especially for a couple of days. (I was just doing an overnight.) Good value though.

Dear Michael, Thank you for your comments about your stay earlier this month. Our rooms were creatively designed by the architect given the physical limitations of the previous hotel. We are looking at new design ideas that will make the hotel more accommodating for all our guests. Please reach out to me directly if you would like to share additional... More

If you want to be in downtown Palio Alto this can be an excellent choice. Rooms are quite small so most appealing to the individual traveler looking for a modern vibe with location as paramount feature. Similar feel to Ovolo chain in Hong Kong, Asia. Very limited on-site amenities but nice complimentary grab and go breakfast. If you are looking... More

Dear Keen guest, Thank you for your review and I will be sure to check out the Ovolo hotels in Hong Kong on Tripadvisor. I am very intrigued since I am not familiar with their hotels and will share this with our staff. Warm regards, Gary Sterman More

The location of this hotel, immediately adjacent to a public transportation hub (train and buses), close to downtown Palo Alto, and an easy walk to the Stanford quad or the mall make this an ideal base for activities in this locale. The rooms are scaled more like a European hotel, but are similarly efficient. The bed was very comfortable and... More

First of all, those who complain that this hotel is overpriced... Palo Alto is overpriced. As far as the hotel is concerned, the rooms are small. However, it's no smaller than hotel rooms that you may encounter in Europe. The room was well appointed and I found it to be efficient for business purposes. The quality of the build out... More

The Great: location, the bed, the freebies: wine hour, breakfast, coffee, free wifi, bathroom amenities The Good: cleanliness The not so great: water pressure, curtain on the bathroom in lieu of door - I was travelling alone so ok but not good for couples, no view /natural light - just a wall inches away from the window SUMMARY - I... Tiny rooms but nice and clean in a perfect location. Walking distance to train, restaurants.. Great for a quick business trip. Breakfast is quite modest, so I wouldn't count on it too much. Many other options just. A few steps away.

I was given a tiny room: 11 ft wide X 10 ft deep with adjacent bathroom. Rate $369 per night. Window faced a brick wall 4 feet away. Probably the most overpriced hotel room I have ever experienced. Please don't bother to explain this to me. Extortionate pricing. Oh and I didn't mention the cleaning staff who banged loudly on... More

I was at the Hotel Keen for one night on business. The good news is that it's right in the middle of downtown Palo Alto. Very convenient for restaurants and all. The bad news is that the hotel is pretty modest - with not-so-modest prices. The room was small (I measured - 13 x 13 feet - including shower, bathroom,... More
