This is a classic motor hotel that has been updated and is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and friendly. A great value relative to the Palo Alto chain hotels - my stay was about half the cost. Spacious rooms, newly updated bathroom, kitchenette, very comfortable bed. No elevator to my second floor room, but the hosts were very accommodating in carrying my...

I stayed here for six nights while attending a conference at Stanford. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I would happily stay here again. The price was quite reasonable, given the location -- walking distance to Stanford, or a free shuttle ride if you prefer. There's no food on-site, but there was a kitchenette in my room, and...

Great location next to California Ave with lots of places to eat, and a farmers market on Sundays. As typical for this area the best prices are on the weekend. It's about 1/2 the cost of a weekday stay due to all the business travelers. Family owned, very nice folks, and a good mid range value. Although during the week...

My husband and I go to Palo Alto regularly for my appts. at Stanford. We've tried a number of different properties. Coronet was very reasonably priced and a very close drive to Stanford. Lady at reception was very nice and friendly. Room was pretty spacious. Big down size was the noise. Wall are very thin and the rooms face the...

Palo Alto hotels are shockingly overpriced--in the $700 to $900 price range--so by that measure, paying $238 for a standard old motel room seemed like a relative bargain. Nice that our room had a kitchenette and some very nice amenities, like Wolfgang Puck coffee and nice towels, but the Coronet is otherwise standard fair. And the single bed was just...

The motel is located in the main El Camino Real in Palo Alto. There is a parking for free in the hotel area. The rooms are big, with a kitchen corner, TV and sofa. The bed is very comfortable. The staff was pleasant.

This is your standard motel. Rooms are spacious and clean. They leave you chocolates and free bottled water upon your arrival which is nice. However, it is just too loud to get any sleep. The traffic noise can be blocked out with earplugs but the noise of steps, doors closing & even the neighbor coughing just echoed quite loudly. Poor...

Stayed here in May and September for medical tests at Stanford. Will be returning in October for surgery. The staff at the Coronet is wonderful. The rooms are very clean and spacious. A quick Uber ride is easily rounded up. If your in the mood to walk a bit you can get to the Stanford shuttle stop on Yale. The...

When my wife was undergoing medical procedures at Stanford we had the choice of spending the night for two nights or facing Bay Area traffic to get home to the Central Valley. We opted to stay in Palo Alto. Very glad we did. The room was very nice, close to the University and cool dining places. We turned an otherwise...
