I stayed here for 2 weeks earlier this year and I hate to disclose how great the hotel is, as there may never be availability again. The hotel is very boutique-oriented, with a great staff and every need taken care of.. They have wine in the afternoons, a great gym, and the hotel of the location is remarkable. I have stayed at virtually every hotel in Palo Alto many times but the Garden Court has proven to be my favorite and it is not that close of a contest. Remommended for special events, business travel and a sublime visit to Silcon Valley or Stanford.

I can’t complain about this hotel. We had a great stay. We had no problems with the service. The breakfast baked goods and other items on each floor every morning were wonderful. The rooms were well taken care of, clean and a pleasure to stay in. Our only complaint was with the pillows. They have those soft pillows that no matter how many you stack up, they end up pancaked together. We asked for different pillows but they ended up being the same ones. The room air conditioning worked well. The room was quiet. The location was perfect for us. The offered free internet service. While they do have a charge for the valet parking, the service to get the car was quite efficient. I would certainly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. (And, if you like chocolate truffles,

I appreciate your kind review of your stay and your feedback about our pillows. We invested in 100% fine goose down pillows but your frustration with them has me revisiting other manufacturers and options. This type of information is invaluable and I am most grateful to your for your candor. Please do come back again. Respectfully, Barbara Gross

Great location, extremely nice rooms and courtyard, staff was very pleasant and parking was efficient. We got a very good experience here, and when visiting Palo Alto again, will definitely book this hotel.

Stayed here with my fiance for his reunion. I love open, airy rooms and this room had doors that opened up to a balcony overlooking a courtyard with a fountain. It was so relaxing to have coffee and a pastry in the morning on the balcony while reading. The bed was also super cozy which always is an important detail for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Coffee and pastries were complimentary and served on every floor in the morning! One downside: because it is a courtyard set up we could hear people chatting late night while leaving the restaurant. It wasn't a big deal as we were going to bed late, but just something to be aware of. Maybe you can request a quieter room.

We stayed at the Garden Court Hotel last fall and took in the Stanford - Notre Dame football game. What a beautiful hotel. The staff is amazing as are the amenities. Full continental breakfast right outside our door in the mornings. We were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. This was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Well appointed rooms and a wonderful bath. Can't wait to stay here again.

We took the big splurge and stayed a couple of nights at the Garden Court in friendly downtown Palo Alto; steps away from food and shopping on University Avenue. The hotel deserves its big-star rating. If you’re visiting the Farm or Sand Hill Road, this is an outstanding place to stay. The hotel has all the qualifications of a first rate hotel: -- The rooms are large, quiet, exceptionally clean, and without a nick or stain in the paint anywhere. Upscale furnishings, big closet, very comfortable bed, desk with great lighting, operational thermostat, and lots of outlets for all of the power hungry iDevices. Somebody with a sense of humor furnished the room with simple photos of vintage Bill and Dave style garages. -- Service was friendly and helpful, especially the cleaning

Only had 1 night here, but glad we did- the staff is very accommodating and friendly and the rooms are lovely with a comfortable bed, spotless bathroom with a rain shower that actually works and some nice extras like a cover for your toothbrush. We did hear some noise from people and cars on the street as our room was right on Cowper, but it was brief and did not go into the night. Breakfast is minimal but enough to get you started for the day. Would highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay again someday.

We were finishing a 2 week trip in which I stayed in 7 hotels. I was hesitant to book the Garden Court because we were visiting friends and not spending all that much time at the hotel. I am so glad we ended up staying here. I have stayed in many top hotels and resorts over the years and I honestly think the Garden Court Hotel is one of the finest ever! The rooms are simply beautiful. Large, immaculate, and incredibly appointed with everything one would need (including a desk full of office supplies!). The complimentary tea, coffee and homemade pastries each morning were the most wonderful way to start the day. The house made truffles and port each night were simply decadent. The staff went above and beyond fulfilling any request immediately. The location is in the heart of all

When you travel in the US you tend to get disappointed very often. The wording used by a lot of hotels have more to do with what's on trend at the moment than what they usually are able to deliver. So this is a boutique hotel. In my experience nothing good comes out of that. Remember with horror the place in the Hamptons we stayed at. So I wasn't really expecting much of this place. And it is fabulous, really! The rooms are wonderfully decorated, someone took great care with details! Choice of fabrics are unusual in that it would perhaps not wear that well, I like that, I like that it isn't a mushy brownish beige that you wouldn't be able to see the dirt. I like that I can see if it's a discussing place or not... Sheets are lovely (I think I am getting old, sheets in hotels are
