Palm Mountain Resort & Spa comes highly recommended for its exceptional cleanliness, with guests frequently commending the pristine condition of both the rooms and public spaces. The comfortable accommodations are often lauded, although there's mention of lighting inconsistencies. Its proximity to Palm Canyon Drive and downtown attractions is a major draw for visitors. While the service and laid-back atmosphere receive positive remarks, some concerns are raised over the spa service and a somewhat dated decor. The range of amenities is appreciated, yet the value proposition is questioned during peak periods due to steep pricing.

pstThis hotel delivered for its convenient location next to downtown restaurants and shopping, as well as for its large pool area. Rooms vary considerably – we asked to switch our King Patio room first floor for the same-priced King Pool view – second floor – after seeing that the walled-in patio was adjacent to the main parking lot. The elevator wasn’t working, making it a bit of a struggle to bring up our luggage, but the pool view room was definitely worth changing for. Even though the pool was large enough, you really couldn’t have more than eight people at a time due to social distancing. During the mornings, there were few in the pool so that wasn’t a problem. The jacuzzi and spa were also closed. I asked that the manager to please waive the $19 per night resort fee which was supposedly for the use of pool towels and two bottles of water – and she did. Overall, still a good value and nice, central place to stay during the pandemic.

This place is beautiful! We didn't spend a lot of time in the room. But it was spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful (especially Tara) and there was plenty of steaming hot water in the shower. We would sight-see each morning and spend 3-4 hours each afternoon at the amazing pool. Early each evening before dinner we had drinks on our semi-private patio overlooking the pool and the exquisitely maintained grounds. Any pictures you've seen online don't do the place justice. It's nicer! After dinner we would sit by one of the outdoor fire pits. It was spring break and the town was packed. But this resort never felt crowded (even though we heard it was fully occupied) and the guests were pretty chill. We enjoyed several long conversations with people from all over the country. We would have given it a 5 of 5 rating if the rooms were more updated and the wifi was a little faster. Considering the ideal location and compared to neighboring resorts the nightly rate was a good value.

The location of this hotel is perfect for accessing downtown and being walking distance from museum, trails, restaurants, etc. The grounds are beautiful and pool area is better than most. But!... rooms are small, dark, and outdated.. Internet did not work the entire time we were there (5 days/4 nights). Desk staff was not helpful with this. Having to pay for a cup of coffee when the room plus amenity fee was over $300 a night is insulting and stupid. The beds were good but no choice of pillows and the bathroom was in serious need of upgrades. Shower just barely gives you enough water to get clean. Highly disappointed for the price paid. The name should not include 'resort', it is misleading as spa was closed... Maybe Palm Mount Motel w/Pool.

UPDATE: I have previously stated that the chiller on the pool made the water too cold. They have come to their senses. We decided to visit again after being told that they keep the water at 85/86 degrees; the water was perfect. Ambient temp was mid-90s, so the pool felt wonderful. The pool area is beautiful.

I have read the negative reviews about the hotel itself. This is an old hotel done in the old style with patios or balconies and plantation shutters, even if it shows a little wear around the edges. Our room was clean, and the fridge and microwave make it convenient. The location cannot be beat. We park the car, and walk everywhere. If you are looking for a hotel with gray and white walls and stainless steel, then this is not the hotel for you.

My family has been coming to this hotel for decades and we cannot wait to return. We are grateful that the pool water is no longer reminiscent of an arctic river.

This is our 5th time visiting within a Westjet Vacations package and it seems that they will put you in the least desirable room if you book this way. Every other time we have had a nicely located room, but this time the explanation was that the more desirable rooms are not included and that you could upgrade but there are none available. If I look to book online there appear to be some available but the front desk is saying we can’t change rooms even if we pay a $20 upgrade per night. It would be nice if Westjet Vacations could also allow a premium to get a better room in their packages. Overall the property is similar to previous visits, but they do need to replace the chairs by the fire pit as they are falling apart and there are only about 3 cushions left for the approximately 15 seats.

We were so very disappointed and shocked at how worn and dated the rooms were. Tiny beds(full size). The first room we had was pool side. The door latch was so loose anyone could easily get in without effort, you could see light the entire length of the door jam. The refrigerator was missing all of the shelf bars so you can’t keep drinks there. It was very dirty, doors were extremely worn, bathroom door was a pocket door and bottom was all chewed up, you couldn’t even latch it. To top it off, we found roaches.

Called the front desk, they said they would move us to a VIP room…which was the only other one they had and happened to be right above our current room. So no longer pool side, which was what I wanted and paid for, and required us to use stairs that I had hoped to avoid. . The room was IDENTICAL to the one we had, just as dirty and worn. The door latch at least wasn’t so loose. However this one had areas of carpet lifting and one of the lamps had the bulb hanging by wires, which was a fire hazard. It also smelled terrible.

I paid up a bit expecting to get something better than a Motel 6 and it is much, much worse than you could imagine. I have stayed in many hotels and none that have ever been this bad, even for less than $100/night. The online photos lead you to believe these are clean, updated rooms which is extremely deceptive. Any updating is shoddy, no exaggeration. I found Cheetos and other garbage under one of the nightstands. You can tell they don’t vacuum well, and dusting, wiping furniture down is bare minimum.

I attempted to find another local hotel with no luck, none had all of the nights we needed available. They led me to believe they were fully booked so we made do. I spoke to management the 3rd and final night about my concerns and that I had hoped they would compensate us for the troubles. She offered us a credit for the $22 resort fee, and we could move rooms again. Why would we want to do that twice, especially when we knew we would end up with the same issues.

You see decent reviews which blows my mind. What are people comparing it to, what have their stays been like at other hotel to give anything better than a 2 star rating?

.
I am adding what photos I took, but they should be enough to turn anyone away. Please take my experience and avoid this hotel.

Okay so this hotel is a 5 minute walk from the most popular street in Palm Springs, where everything is happening. The beds were ultra comfortable, the air conditioning was working and the water pressure in the showers were everything you dream of! We had a beautiful view of the pool which was just steps out of our balcony. The staff was very tentative!! I highly recommend this lovely hotel!

After I got done dusting our dark room and Clorox wiping down the bathroom, remote, air conditioner vents(which helped on the smell),etc. the room was tolerable. Brought our own pillows and a sheet which I used to cover the dirty cloth loveseat. All the furniture looks like they picked up at a garage sale and never cleaned. Our patio was dirty and very uninviting. The pool/hot tub/fire pit area lovely. Yes the umbrellas need some maintenance. The front desk clerks were friendly and helpful, but underlying feeling they knew the rooms were awful and on the defense just waiting…. And then at the end offer you a resort fee discount. Which should not exist since the spa is closed since Covid and the guest laundry facility closed till further notice??? The air conditioner in our room when running sounded like a small plane taking off. The room keys. What a joke. There for 4 nights and new keys each day needed. We kept them away from our phones but that was not the problem. New hardware would fix a very aging key system. Overall we enjoyed our stay because of the location and the fact we were hardly in our room, but to sleep. Pluses: Pool, location and free parking. Negatives: Dirty, dark and in major need of renovation of all rooms. A good deep clean of all rooms would help. And wipe clean bathroom pocket doors on every clean.

Location was A+, "everything" within a few blocks walk, the casino, restaurants, shops etc, Took a cab from the airport, roughly 2 miles for $20, including tip. Could have taken the shuttle but I didn't want to wait. Took the shuttle on the way back to the airport and it was very handy. Staff was A-, one counter dragon at reception could have used some polish but overall no real complaints there. Rooms: clean. TV: wide variety of channels. Being a pandemic trip I stayed in my room a lot and just vegged in front of the TV chilling in bed, which was a major reason for the trip, needed some R&R.

My few little gripes: A couple of more pillows and an extra blanket would have done wonders, but I changed the setting on the air/heat and was basically ok. Lousy shower head, really had to do a lot of rinsing to get all the soap off of me. All in all though, wouldn't hesitate to book again if I find myself in P.S. again.

We got a great deal on HotelTonight when our air bnb fell through. The pool is lovely; the hot tub is great. The beds were super comfortable. there was a microwave and mini refrigerator in our room and free parking. Our deck wasn't much, so we hung out at the pool and the lobby. I had to finish some work and the staff was great about giving me paper to print out what I needed. Wii fii wasn't so great in our room but it was great in the lobby area and at the pool. The best part of this hotel is the location; right in town and a walk to all the restaurants and shops. We enjoyed that and the pool area. the room was quiet although a lot of light seeped in from the wooden slats so I had to wear eye shades in order to sleep. Overall a great stay.
