The Monkey Tree Hotel is a private 16-room boutique hotel nestled against the backdrop of the gorgeous San Jacinto mountains on a large one-acre property in Palm Springs, California. Originally designed and built in 1960 by renowned modernist architect Albert Frey, the hotel re-opened in 2016, after a restoration by its current owners to its original mid-century modern design. A delicious house-made continental breakfast is served every morning and is included in the room price. Inside the expansive private courtyard are a large, heated saltwater swimming pool and lush lawn area spacious enough to find a secluded area to relax in peace. The hotel also boasts the area’s first Scandinavian spa, which includes a newly built sauna, hot tub and cold plunge. Use the spa to rejuvenate, re-energize, or recover from a workout.

. We wanted to visit Palm Springs for a short weekend getaway from Los Angeles. The Monkey Tree was the perfect little hiding spot in Palm Springs. The hotel itself is small, but spacious. The grounds are beautifully kept and the view from the pool of the mountains is great! We

We arrived at The Monkey Tree after spending a long day touring LA. When the door opened revealing the courtyard, it felt like the gates of heaven opening. My mouth was literally hanging open at the sheer beauty. The pool was glistening in the dusk, the palm trees were sparkling

We cannot verify that this person from that city and state ever stayed with us or had this experience with us, but more importantly we went through all the recorded calls with our after hours call service and no such calls exist. And our service certainly did not (or could not, for that matter) forward any details to anyone. Sadder still is that TA refuses to take this review down, which unfortunately brings into question their entire review process. No matter, they run their business their way, and we will continue to run our business our way. We will continue to use our high standards to bring an exceptional Palm Springs experience to travelers. Your room price includes a welcome snack basket upon arrival, a healthy, house made breakfast each morning, a daily gym pass, and sodas and waters by the pool all day. And we never charge a resort fee. Please call us directly for the best pricing (760-322-6059).

I'm a blogger and I just loved this picturesque spot. It was not only clean, but very cute! Every corner of the property was so unique and it was a blast to shoot content for work and my social channels. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgable, the owner Kathy took

Oh my goodness, from the moment we stepped through the gate, it was like we went back in time to the 1960's. It felt so tranquil and relaxing. It was a great place to forget about life for awhile and just enjoy ourselves. Upon arrival we were checked in, even though we were a
