My husband and I spent a long weekend at the Monkey Tree Hotel celebrating our friend's 30th birthday. We had a blast! Kathleen and Gary made us feel right at home and accommodated our needs. It was so peaceful and relaxing - the views, the hot tub and sauna (I was too chicken to try out the cold plunge), the... More

It's not far from the airport, so if you don't might jets zooming by in the bright blue sky above your tranquil pool, this is a great place to stay. Designed by mid century modern architect Albert Frey, this is a lovely property, restored and well maintained by the couple who've bought it. The rooms are large and clean, the... More

We chose the Monkey Tree Hotel for my sisters 30th birthday party and I am so glad we did! The owners Kathleen and Gary were beyond accommodating in helping us make this a very special celebration for my sister. The hotel grounds were beautiful, rooms were clean and comfortable, the decor of the entire place is so lovely, the homemade... More

So glad we found this small hotel. Unusual Architect designed buildings in the older original part of Palm Springs. Refurbished and re-opened this year. Lovely pool and garden area. Quiet. Rooms comfortable. Bathrooms fitted in traditional style - not with the most modern fittings!

My wife and I spent a three day weekend in Palm Springs to check out mid century modern architecture. We stayed in this newly reborn hotel designed by Albert Frey. The owners treated us like family and we met some wonderful people around the pool at happy hour and breakfast of this small, comfortable, quiet adults only hotel. The breakfast... More

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary with a trip to The Monkey Tree Hotel in November--it was perfect in every way. Quiet relaxation. Beautiful location. Super clean rooms (we stayed in the fantastic Jungle Room and really loved having the private courtyard). Comfortable bed (with a choice of fluffy or flat pillows). Excellent coffee and delicious, healthy breakfast... More

This hotel is a little gem among so many less than interesting hotels in the Palm Springs area. Not trying to be trendy, but rather trying to bring back the value of personal attention to the guests. The proprietors were so warm and friendly and it almost seemed like you were staying in a B&B, but instead you were in... More

This was a pleasant surprise and I would go back again. I would have been happy to just stay there all day. This is a place with only a small number of rooms surrounding a pool/garden area, very private, low key, relaxing, quiet (no kids under 14), civilized. It has a lovely view of San Jacinto Peak. The room was... More

Simple luxury with extremely comfortable rooms including fridges, cable TV and powerful A/C.... great pool area with plenty of space and lots of 'floaty' things to use.... powerful Wifi and a great location only 5mins from downtown. But best of all is the personal touch which the owners add. You can tell this is a passion project for them and... More

Quick last minute overnight to Palm Springs. It was a holiday weekend and we found this place a 5-8 minute drive from the city center. The room was spacious for just a couple and the bed was comfortable. I was surprised that there was no juice selection as part of the breakfast and also how quickly the few items served... More
