The most chilled, relaxed and welcoming place you may ever stay. Already trying to workout when we can go back. Although slightly out downtown Palm Springs, there is a bus stop outside, or during Late October to April it’s a short walk in and out, or Uber about $9. but there is a great local coffee shop and a speakeasy and steak restaurant 5 minutes away
Outstanding all the way. Stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed absolutely everything about it. The team are so friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Especially when your greeted at check in with the words cold BEER! The rooms have a retro decor, they are spacious with a lovely comfy bed and amazing A/C. Good sized and fully equipped kitchenette. Pool area is lovely. Loads of sun beds and chairs. BBQ, oven for pizza’s etc…. All on hand near the pool. Always immaculately clean and tidy. Breakfast is set up around 7.30. It includes a selection of yogurt’s, pastries, breads, tea, coffee and juice. Just go for yourself and find out. You should love it and all it’s charm as we did.
Enjoyed 4 nights in room 11 - wonderfully large with separate sitting and dining area and huge American fridge freezer which was a godsend as we arrived in a heatwave of 47 degrees centigrade! Extremely friendly and helpful staff - lots of information shared about the area and happy to help with ideas for things to do - recommended the street market on a Thursday night. The hummingbirds in the garden around the pool were great to watch and feed with the feeders you can borrow. They offer bbq grills and a pizza oven you can use. We did this on our last night and enjoyed relaxing in our room after a couple of fantastic local restaurants it offered a nice balance to save a few calories and dollars! If you are after a vintage stay with friendly people and similarly minded guests this is a great option - not too big and yet enough space and sun beds which was a key choice in our selection of this hotel.…
I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel in summer 2022 as I used it as a base to explore Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. The location is great for the purpose I had. The welcome from one of the managers was fantastic. The room was very nice and had all the necessary comforts. There is a swimming pool and a really nice garden with a hammock and barbecue as well. Breakfast is not very varied but satisfies all tastes. Definitely to be taken into consideration.
Visited PS and wanted that old time feeling rather the sterility of some modern day hotels. Property was well maintained, room was spacious and clean, the service was first class and attentive. Thanks to all involved and will definitely return
The hotel was amazing Terry was awesome if I could I give it this place 10 stars excellent service clean nice and helpful I am definitely coming back a second and third time everyone that worked there was fantastic and it’s located next to a Ralph’s great coffee shop in your post to downtown
Can’t say enough good things about this place. Here over the Fourth weekend with my parents (their first time) and by the end of the trip they were already looking at how they could fly in direct next time. The staff was warm and friendly, providing free drinks and popcorn by the pool each afternoon, and because there are only ten rooms and no kids allowed it’s quiet, contained, and utterly relaxing. The rooms were a stylish retro-modern chic, complete with kitchenettes, excellent water pressure, good AC, and very comfortable beds. It really felt like you were coming home each time, whether it’s from a morning bike ride or a drink or two right across the street at the Ace. The people who stay here all seem like they’ve been doing it for years, and I hope to join their ranks going forward! A perfect contrast to the larger hotels in the area. The staff even put on a Fourth of July weekend barbecue, and we got to stick around no problem after we vacated our rooms. The worst part was having to leave!…
Hands down this is the COOLEST boutique hotel in Palm Springs. Cool vibe, cool rooms, staff is beyond fantastic. This is our goto place. Perfect location for anything worth doing in Palm Springs. Visit the sister hotel The Hotel California too.
This hotel is amazing and it's because of the staff. They were absolutely wonderful to work with for my group event. The hotel is super clean, the manager greats you with a cocktail, and they totally make you feel welcomed. The hotel has everything you need from BBQs, a smoker, firepits, hammock, bikes, a tv out by grill area to the guest kitchen that is available to use, popcorn machine and a yummy continental breakfast by the office. I 100% recommend this hotel and their other hotel called Hotel California. Second year hosting an event at both hotels and we will be back next year.
You cannot go wrong with a stay at this hotel. Book it now! The rooms are retro, spacious and very clean. The pool area has everything you could want during your stay. This staff has thought of everything you could possibly want and more. Bicycles, fire pits, area to barbecue, popcorn, board games, floats for the pool and more. Relaxing at the pool area was our favorite part of our stay and we typically do not use hotel pools. With it being adults only and only eleven rooms, it makes the pool area enjoyable for all there. You will love your stay at Desert Riviera - we can’t wait to return!
