A delightful gem in Palm Springs. Cozy and comfortable with a staff who feel like family. Delicious continental breakfast, including hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, hint pastries, and great coffee. Beautiful grounds including "friendly" hummingbirds. You will love it here ❤️
Outstanding all the way. Stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed absolutely everything about it. The team are so friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Especially when your greeted at check in with the words cold BEER! The rooms have a retro decor, they are spacious with a lovely comfy bed and amazing A/C. Good sized and fully equipped kitchenette. Pool area is lovely. Loads of sun beds and chairs. BBQ, oven for pizza’s etc…. All on hand near the pool. Always immaculately clean and tidy. Breakfast is set up around 7.30. It includes a selection of yogurt’s, pastries, breads, tea, coffee and juice. Just go for yourself and find out. You should love it and all it’s charm as we did.
Desert Riviera is the kind of place we keep coming back to because of its constants. We know we're going to get excellent service from everyone that works there. We know our room is going to be spacious and comfortable and immaculately clean. We know they offer breakfast that is filling and has a great variety of options. We know the pool and outside area is secluded from the road and that there's nothing better than relaxing on one of the lounges or taking a dip in the amazing pool or hot tub. We know that regardless of the weather, the property is inviting and welcoming. Thank you, Tracy and staff, you guys are the best! We look forward to visiting again next Fall!
We have just returned after a couple of terrific days/nights at this fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of the Deepwell neighbourhood in Palm Springs. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Our initial contact was with Corbin who welcomed us to the Desert Riviera. The site itself is walled in with a thick and tall hedge which provides a great buffer from the surrounding street noise. We were instantly introduced to "George", a multi-coloured fascinating little hummingbird. Along with his female counterpart (we were not told she had a formal name) these little gifts from above were conditioned to land in your hand to drink from a small plastic circular container that was filled with sugar water. Feeling the breeze from those furiously flapping little wings was quite surreal. With an ample swimming pool in the middle of the complex came a hot tub (walled off amongst its own shrubbery), an outdoor smoker, pizza oven and bar table that came with a mounted TV. As well, there is a fire table area and some lit torches which accompany numerous lit candle glasses around the perimeter of the pool. The room had many terrific touches, colour, and the ambience of a 50's resort. Tracy was also very helpful, particularly when I requested that the pool temperature be turned down. After some investigation, she remedied the issue and my Canadian blood could once again enjoy a moderately -warmed pool that nicely complemented the hot tub. Overall, a great "chilling" vibe and setting for pure relaxation. Hope to return before too long.…
We were charmed from the moment we walked through the main gate! This place isn't fancy, but it is clean and they have considered every detail to make guests feel welcome, comfortable and relaxed. Within moments of our arrival we had drinks in our hands and had met the resident hummingbirds! Our room (#6) had a great view out to the pool and mountains beyond. Cute little kitchen had everything we needed, and anything it didn't have was in the communal guest kitchen. The bed was comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet given the proximity to the main road. We wanted to maximize our time outside on our last day, and because it was cool out by California standards we were the only ones still using the courtyard after dark. Still, the fire tables and torches were lit and tea lights glowed on every table, ready for anybody who might want to use any part of the yard. It really made for quite a magical evening. Next time, we'll stay longer than two days!…
This is our third stay at Desert Riviera. We love it. It's like this little paradise right in the heart of Palm Springs. The front desk help is so friendly and helpful and the pool and hot tub amazing. We have plans to return later next year. Oh, and the bikes they have for free rentals are the best. I had so much fun riding around town. Great place and great get away
This is my third visit to this property and I will be visiting again. It THE most relaxing place ever. We stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. Pool time is great, rooms are very nice and the grounds are exceptional. You do fell like you are in paradise. Staff are very friendly. Even the resident humming birds were friendly they will come to your hand to eat.
The most chilled, relaxed and welcoming place you may ever stay. Already trying to workout when we can go back. Although slightly out downtown Palm Springs, there is a bus stop outside, or during Late October to April it’s a short walk in and out, or Uber about $9. but there is a great local coffee shop and a speakeasy and steak restaurant 5 minutes away
Enjoyed 4 nights in room 11 - wonderfully large with separate sitting and dining area and huge American fridge freezer which was a godsend as we arrived in a heatwave of 47 degrees centigrade! Extremely friendly and helpful staff - lots of information shared about the area and happy to help with ideas for things to do - recommended the street market on a Thursday night. The hummingbirds in the garden around the pool were great to watch and feed with the feeders you can borrow. They offer bbq grills and a pizza oven you can use. We did this on our last night and enjoyed relaxing in our room after a couple of fantastic local restaurants it offered a nice balance to save a few calories and dollars! If you are after a vintage stay with friendly people and similarly minded guests this is a great option - not too big and yet enough space and sun beds which was a key choice in our selection of this hotel.…
I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel in summer 2022 as I used it as a base to explore Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. The location is great for the purpose I had. The welcome from one of the managers was fantastic. The room was very nice and had all the necessary comforts. There is a swimming pool and a really nice garden with a hammock and barbecue as well. Breakfast is not very varied but satisfies all tastes. Definitely to be taken into consideration.
