The property is very cute. Our room was pretty basic, no view and not particularly memorable as far as comfort. Luckily we didn’t spend too much time in it because this location is in the downtown are and close to shops and restaurants. The pool area was nice and we enjoyed it a lot with an early check-in and late check-out during our 1 night stay. I liked that they had an electric car charging spot!

The Alcazar is doing a great job during these trying times. The staff are welcoming and really working hard at making everyone feel safe and comfortable. It's a great little hotel our upstairs room was spacious and immaculate. Dinner at Birba is an extra added attraction. Keep up the good work, stay safe and best wishes for your future, Alcazar.

My husband and I first visited the Alcazar when it was the PepperTree Inn back in 2006. We stayed there many time before it changed owners. The grounds remain beautiful and clean with Spanish roof tile, wooden beams, a warm pool, jacuzzi, lush greenery, water/fire decor, and lounge chairs. At check in, we asked for a quiet room and was given #16. At the time, I didn't think about it because it was getting late. All I wanted to do was change after a long drive and jump into the pool (which closes at midnight). As I walked into the room, I thought I was being placed into an insane asylum. All it needed was padding on the walls. The room is ALL white! (NOTHING like the inn's grounds). There was 1 clear plastic chair at a white desk, a white dresser, 2 white end tables, and white painted concrete floor with 2 industrial floor mats on each side of the bed. I know Palm Springs has this modernism movement, but the room is so vastly off from the buildings/grounds of the hotel. YUCK!!!!! The king size bed was excellent, however quiet? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! The people on the second floor were in their jacuzzi all night long and Indian Canyon Drive is about 10 feet from the building. You can hear every car, freight truck, motorcycle, and ambulance (hospital down the road) that passes by. I totally forgot about the noise since the last time we stayed back in 2009. My husband and I were up at 5 am. We only stayed 1 night. We might return but will request a room away from ICD and with a seating area inside. I've attached a map of the property and highlighted the rooms to avoid if you're a light sleeper or don't want to sleep next to a busy street.

We had such a great time staying here! Loved the stylish room and the beautiful hotel grounds. It was so nice to enjoy drinks on our private patio and relax by the fireplace at night. The staff was so friendly and really welcomed us like old friends when we arrived. The location is perfect, surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. Can't wait to go back again!

I really enjoy visiting Alcazar when I am in Palm Springs. I love that everyone you interact with is friendly and that it is so easy and personable! Casha was very helpful when I checked in! Everyone I have spoken to during my visit were genuine. It is close to all the restaurants in Palm Springs and you have 2 really great restaurants right there!! Their pool is saline/salt vs. chlorinated which is nice as well. The entire grounds of the hotel have a great personality and are very well maintained. I like the layout and you are not on top of the other people staying at the hotel It is also a very clean hotel. I will definitely stay there again.
