I had a business appointment in Palm Desert, so I mixed business with pleasure by bringing a close friend with me. I chose Santiago from reading about gay resorts in the area. Santiago was more than I even imagined. John-Michael was warm and accommodating, The service, facilities, and amenities were top notch. The rooms are spacious. The atmosphere is laid... More

I absolutely love this quote: "The atmosphere is laid back. The clothing optional is just that - optional. There are times when you wish to be clothed and times when you prefer to be naked. Both are accepted and you can relax being exactly who you are at any moment." This sentiment is exactly what we strive for each day.... More

I love staying here because they just do everything right. It has a simple, casual elegance and the nights are peaceful and beautiful. The friendly staff is easily the best part, but the pool and grounds are always spotless, and the breakfast is welcome. I especially love they have snacks available and a microwave in your room as well as... More

Whom said "you can't go home again?" Well, it is quite obvious, that person never had a return stay at Santiago Resort in Palm Springs! A friend and I stayed at Santiago on Aug.15 - Aug. 22, 2016. We had a Fantastic Time! This was my second extended stay at Santiago. In returning here, it was evident that "a glorious... More

Bill, you are a wordsmith for sure! I only wish folks could read this review in your impeccable handwriting. My favorite quote here: "At Santiago I sensed a magnetic energy of comfort, class and relaxed-fun (with playful energy/social frolicking)." This seems to really sum up the vibe that our guests create here. See you next time! More

This was our first stay at Santiago and we really enjoyed it. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and could not have made a better choice. The staff was very friendly. The grounds are gorgeous, breakfast and lunch included not to mention 24 hour snacks, coffee and soda. Give it a try you won't be sorry.

Stayed at the Santiago Resort for two nights. First time there and I would definitely stay there on my next trip to Palm Springs. The pool area is kept up beautifully and the hammocks at night were great fun. The room on the second floor was stylish and comfortable, and I loved the tile in the bathroom. I think the... More

Went for two nights and loved it. Only our second time to a clothing optional resort and Santiago was great! Clean, well-kept grounds and rooms. Great staff. Nice food options. Very quiet and private. We will be back!

I'm so glad you took the chance on Santiago. I think Santiago is perfect for those drop the swimsuit and for those who prefer not to. Certainly a great entree to the world of the swimsuit optional resort. More

Friends recommended this gay clothing optional resort in PS, and what a great spot to chillax and enjoy Palm Springs. The property is very open to the blue sky and PS mountains, as well as beautifully landscaped! We booked a smaller king size room ($99 summer special) and were pleasantly surprised by the size and location of the room- right... More

I recently returned from a two day stay in Palm Springs. We stayed at the Santiago Hotel. Found and booked the hotel through an online travel site. The hotel is nice, but could be much nicer with a few touches. The main thing I noticed was that the bathrooms seems to have been neglected during the update. The ground floor... More

We just can't get enough of this little jewel in the Desert. All of the positive remarks in other reviews are true. Beautiful private grounds, great pool, jacuzzi and fire pit. The rooms are great. Anything you need is there for you, just ask. A nice mix of guys and a fun time in the pool and sun.

The luscious grounds are peaceful and private. The resort is totally well taken care of and the staff are friendly and readily available. The only one minor -- maybe major, depending how you look at it -- complaint is that the anti-smoking rule is not enforced. We were told upon arrival that smoking was confined to the fireplace area, but... More

Very sweet of you to write this. Thank you! We'll do a better job of monitoring the smoking by the pool. We only recently made the change. We feel it's important to keep a smoke free pool area. More
