We stayed in the number 7 suite. Very old Hollywood 1930s feel. Wonderful Jacuzzi 4 feet from our door. Spacious and the king bed was so comfortable with high end soft sheets and pillow cases. The towels were bright white and soft. The rooms are clean and updated. You won't go hungry because they have a kitchen with snacks and drinks for their guests. Coffe, cappuccino, cookies, chips, bottled water, canned drinks and granola bars all day long! For breakfast we didn't have a cheap continental breakfast in a bag but we were served at our table homemade pancakes, eggs, fruit and orange juice. For happy hour we were served a wonderful good brand of red and white wine. Also they brought us a beautiful cheese, salami, fruit and veggie platter. They played great old Palm Springs music by Frank Sinatra throughout the hotel,

But the stove didn't work and we wanted to cook dinner. Outside our window was a complete junk yard of old sun beaten items. When we looked even furthe we discovered the once laundry room was jam packed with junk! We looked beyond that and saw a large yard filled with useless broken items which should have been thrown away but because someone is a hoarder kept them instead.
It was not what we had expected from such a romantic getaway! It sure wouldnt take a lot to make this place a real gem. It's a shame that the junk yard prevents me from giving it 5 stars!

Thanks for your detailed review. We recently upgraded our furniture and amenities but have not had the chance to remove the old items. We do have them on the side and plan on removing them very soon. We hope your travels bring you back to us in the near future.

This small hotel, just ten bedrooms, caught our eye with its 1930’s Art Deco feel and we were not disappointed. No pretensions but a friendly and welcoming stay with breakfast and evening cocktails/snacks included. Rooms on the small size but Matthew moved us to a suite after a plumbing problem arose in our room. We enjoyed a four night stay till covid-19 intervened and we made a dash to the airport change our tickets!

This 1930s era B&B is a welcome alternative to big brand resorts and chains. It probably has the best customer service of any hotel we have stayed at in the Palm Springs area.
Very comfortable bedding.

The Westcott is a unique boutique hotel with lots of quirky charm. A dozen or so rooms surround an interior pool - with lounge chairs and tables that are available for guests. One of the things we appreciated apart from our upgrade to a mini suite was the great breakfasts that included homemade cakes, chocolatines, fresh fruit and hot options. Espresso machine and access to beverages all day was great. If you are looking for a Non-cookie-cutter hotel option I would recommend the Wescott.
Ample and easy parking
Minutes away from shops and restaurants
Friendly and great service

There’s a lot to like but plenty of room for improvement.
The good: the mattress and bedding were exceptionally comfortable, really liked the design and feel of the property, the layout is great and it feels intimate yet private. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful but some notable people exceptions. There’s a lot of extras like the free happy hour, drinks, and breakfast which were a lovely touch.
The not so good: it’s not staffed 24/7, there’s construction going on and materials left all over the place making it feel unkempt and rough, the hot tub only partially worked, the electric went out at one point, it was winter and there was only a space heater in the room that barely worked, the location is ok but not much is within walking distance but there is free parking.
Overall, don’t think I would stay again unless they ironed out all the issues.

We had a great experience. When we arrived (just in time for ‘happy hour’) we were offered a drink and there were some snacks that I found to be delightful. The room was clean, the pool was lovely. There were minimal staff but the gentleman who checked us in took great care of us (I believe his name was Ted). Breakfast was ‘self serve’ but Ted got us coffee and brought out warm pastries, and gave us some ideas of things to do while we were in town.
If I ever find myself back in Palm Springs I would 100% come back here.
Like some of the other reviews noted the hotel was built in the 1930s and has some quirks as others described, but it was a far better experience than the big brand hotels we stayed at which kind of seem pretty much the same wherever it is. This hotel you know you’re in Palm Springs with its unique Palm Springs/Old Hollywood vibes.

This was my first visit to Palm Springs and I read mixed reviews about staying here so my expectations were not high but we had limited options for a last minute trip so we went for it. But I AM SO GLAD WE STAYED HERE. The staff and owner made us feel like family and we were catered to every need and request. It was quiet at night and had perfect ambiance to have a nightcap by the pool. We stayed by the pool all day and went out at night and the staff helped us find the best places to drink and eat. There was a happy hour at 5 which was the perfect way to get your night started. This is the perfect place if you're looking for a local, small, quiet, and boutique stay.

This was my favorite stay in Palm Springs! This little hotel felt safe, loungey, and intimate. The owner of this place really took care of me and my friend during our stay. I was celebrating a birthday here and they left flowers, candles, balloons, and a cake for me in the room! You can feel the love and compassion at this location. They had snacks available for us all day as well as breakfast in the morning. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing Palm Springs stay, this is your spot!!

I have stayed at this hotel many times, I work in the hospitality business. I love the vibe it’s swanky, Hollywood chic, and eclectic rooms that is why I chose to book my 50th celebration with my girlfriends here. They came from 5 states. We had a wonderful time sitting around the pool, had amazing dinners and made great memories there. Although we had less than expected due to Covid I appreciate Matt and his staff for all the hard work they did to make it happen! Highly recommend staying at this boutique hotel. Thanks again Matt🎉🎊🎂💕

Junk everywhere. Things were falling apart. Way understaffed. Tried to make up for it with the “free” breakfast, but it was grocery store carbs and semi-moldy fruit. For what we paid, we expected more. Definitely would not stay here again and can’t recommend.

I think the pool was mostly in the sun. We only sat around it once. It is all open so if I remember correctly it was sunny.

We are a 20 minute walk to the downtown area of Palm Springs. We are an even shorter 10 minute walk to the restaurants and shopping of the Uptown District. You can also take advantage of the free Buzz Trolley which runs Thursday through Sunday throughout Palm Springs. Uber and Lyft fares run about $4 throughout Palm Springs. So you can definitely get around town easily without a car.
