Over the years, I've sampled quite a number of hotels in Palm Springs. Amin Casa is the finest of the bunch. This boutique hotel is incredibly cozy, beautifully landscaped, charming with a sense of its history (Gloria Swanson's estate), but totally modern in amenities. The studio bungalow offered everything I needed--a fridge with a water filter, a coffee maker and lots of coffee, plates and glasses, etc., lots of outlets for charging things, a huge walk-in closet, and a bathroom that combined modern convenience with a vintage look. The bed was comfortable and the whole place was quiet as can be--yet mere blocks from the center of town with restaurants, cafes, antique shops, art galleries, the museum, and nightclubs within easy walking distance. The owners, Nelson and Ramon, made me feel like a welcomed old friend, and staff members were also friendly yet unobtrusive. The heated pool was a perfect size for doing gentle laps. If you're looking for a special treat, this is the place.

We really enjoyed our time here. There werent too many people so we had the place mostly to ourselves. The guy who runs the place was very nice and accommodating. Only nit was that the hottub was a little off putting, but hey, its a hot tub...they cant clean the thing every 30 minutes....totally forgivable

The room was more of a small house with a kitchen, living room and good -sized bathroom, Super cute, well maintained and restored. Calvin was great as was housekeeping. Relaxed in the small pool and courtyard and only a couple of other guest were there. Very quiet and peaceful.

We arrived at Amin Casa on a chilly February night and directly from the overstimulation of Las Vegas. As soon as Nelson escorted us through the beautiful breezeway and into the romantic and lush courtyard of Amin Casa, I knew we had a made great choice. This the former Palm Springs escape of Hollywood legend Gloria Swanson has been beautifully and faithfully restored, while being completely updated to the 21st century. Every thoughtful detail of this gorgeous retreat was flawlessly executed. We stayed in the smallest bungalow, which is just steps from the heated pool, but it was very comfortable and with a great, roomy bathroom. On a quiet street just steps from the shopping and dining and art of Palm Canyon Drive, I cannot recommend staying here highly enough. Definitely among my top 5 hotel stays of the last year. Kudos to Nelson and his team.

Having just returned from a lovely stay at Amin Casa, I can't recommend it highly enough. My partner and I stayed in bungalow No. 4 -- a cozy, beautifully decorated room with a walk-in closet and large bathroom -- right off the heated swimming pool. Though we were initially worried about privacy and noise, neither was a concern. The estate is superbly maintained -- the landscaping gorgeous, the white-washed walls gleaming -- and its location between the base of Mt. San Jacinto and downtown Palm Springs make it equally as convenient for hiking as going out. Nelson, one of the owners, made us feel so welcome and repeatedly went out of his way to make our time at Amin Casa one we will never forget. I can't wait to return!
