We made our reservation online at this mid-century hotel. When we arrived, we did not know what to expect for something built a long time ago. Then again, I’m no spring chicken myself. We arrived a bit early and that was not an issue. Our room was ready to occupy. Check-in was easy and the clerk was terrific, cheerful, and knowledgeable. We were pleasantly surprised with the room. It was clean with no musty smell that we were expecting for an older hotel. The room has been updated with more modern bathroom fixtures and toilet. The bed was what we expected, not like at home, but okay. The rest of the room was dated, and the furniture looks like it came from Ikea. No carpeting, but clean tile floors. The hotel property was well maintained and clean. My biggest issue was with the towels. I know they were clean, but still looked dirty with stains. There were holes in the towel I used after showering. See the pictures. I’m sure that if I went to the front office, they would have corrected the issue. In my opinion, the towel should not have been left in the room in the first place. Would we stay here again, yes without a doubt. I would have given Musicland Hotel five stars but because of the towel issue, I’m giving a 4-star rating.…
Like I always say, you get what you pay for. Overall this isn't really a three star hotel but it gets a three star review because of my motto. We needed a place to stay in Palm Springs just for a few hours of sleep so we didn't want to spend a ton of money. This was one of the cheapest options and it served it's purpose. The room was clean and that is all you can really ask for. The bed was super uncomfortable and the headboard would hit the wall if you moved at all. Check in was strange, the entire process was done from behind a window.
My buddies and I decided to check out palms springs for a night and booked this place last minute. Looks like they redid the insides with new flooring, fixtures and furniture. The bathrooms aren't as well done but you're not going to spend your whole trip in the bathroom right? Its just walking distance to ACE hotel which was our destination for some drinks and music for the night. They also let me have my dog stay in the room. They'll allow your dog if it's small enough.
Regardless of your reason to be in Palm Springs, this hotel has what you need. With an ideal location, actual free parking (plenty of space) and every necessary amenity, this spot is perfect. While staying there, a local couple chose Musicland to stay while Airbnbing their personal house! So many options in the area but, this is where the seasoned travelers stay. Rooms are amazingly clean too! Feels like you step out of the dessert and into a tropical resort.
For the price this is a very good value. The motel is styled nicely and is an older motel so there are some things that need to be fixed. Pro's - styling, location, clean, safe, free wifi and parking, no resort fee, fridge, non-smoking room, microwave, basic cable. Starbucks, restaurants, liquor stores all close by. Free trolley stop right in front. Pool/hot tub is adequate size for number of rooms at hotel. Con's: people smoke outside since the rooms are smoke free, it wasn't bad. I will stay here again. thanks.
This is a cool spot in Palm Springs.the hotel has nice mountain views and is close to downtown. New owners are making upgrades. The pool area looked nice I will be back for sure Next year for the classic car auction.
Palm Springs hotels are pretty expensive. This Hotel was clean with modern furnishings. Free WIFI and NO RESORT FEE( all other hotels had some kind of fee) Location was great and close to downtown. Very close to the mountains. The views are amazing. Over a 3 day stay I did notice it was run by a family and limited staff. They are very helpful. The Hotel being mid century. So if you appreciate uniqness this is the place. Otherwise Hilton and other chains are double the money.
Stunning building right on the free weekend Buzz route. Very spacious clean rooms with full sized fridge and microwave. Pool is nice and deep. New owners very accommodating. During our 9 days in Palm Sorings we have stayed at the Riviera, the Munroe and the 7 Springs . This was bar far the best value and best housekeeping of all
Staff was friendly and allowed me to check-in early despite it being a very busy weekend. The room was clean and had recently been updated. The pool area was pretty small relative to other hotels in the area, but it did the job. If you are looking to stay in palm springs on a budget. The Musicland hotel is a clean comfortable option.
I had taken a quick trip to Palm Springs for Vintage Vibe and my stay at Musicland was the perfect compliment to the weekend of celebrating Americana. The location is close to everything and everything about the hotel was exceptionally done. It was such a nice departure from the larger resort style hotels in the area! My room was freshly redone with a large comfortable bed, nice linens and great AC. Communication with Nilesh was easy and check-in was a breeze. The hotel was nice and quiet at night and the in-room keurig with complimentary coffee was appreciated! I didn't get to avail myself of the pool, but it will be part of my next visit!
