I remember visiting an old college friend at Sparrows in 2018. As a Coachella Valley native, I was shocked that I'd never heard of this secluded getaway. Years later, it was the first place that came to mind when I wanted to bring my girlfriend back to my hometown. Accommodations were very comfortable, the staff was friendly, and it's the perfect distance from downtown Palm Springs. Oh, and the margaritas... *chef's kiss* Hope to be back soon.

Sparrows remains my favorite PS getaway - intimate, elegant and relaxing, Sparrows brings charm and style to this inspired desert retreat, leaving the bigger resort options feeling cold and impersonal. Food is shockingly good and whole team sweet and accommodating - honestly why go anywhere else?

My husband and I stayed at the Sparrows Lodge after backpacking in Joshua Tree. The hotel was perfect- warm staff, beautiful grounds, large (and super cool) rooms, and overall peaceful vibes. I wish we could’ve stayed by the pool forever! The Barn Kitchen and bar had delicious food and cocktails and frankly we never needed to leave the hotel to dine. This is a perfect couples’ getaway- we felt like we had the hotel to ourselves despite it being full!

The setting is nice but the personnel is totally not prepared to offer any service , we arrived after a long flight from New York and a 2.5hours drice at 7.35 pm and we were just given a key and told to go look for our room, we asked if we could have some dinner and were told that the kitchen closed at 7.30 and the attendant would not even offer a salad or cheese really no sense of hospitality , for breakfast there is a so cold buffet with all the choices already prepackaged everything is served on cardboard even coffee , the breakfast was so bad that the next day we skipped it and went in town to have Breakfast, all along the personnel acts like you are intruding and you are in there way not a sign of being courteous or any idea what service is all about. It is a shame and we were terribly disappointed , hindsight we should have left when we showed up and realized that is a third rate inn.

A quaint, rustic lodge that make you feel like you are off the grid, even though you are right in the middle of civilization. Superior and friendly staff that are at the top of their game. Great snacks and drinks delivered at the pool.
