Everything about our stay was phenomenal, truly! We loved celebrating our 10 year anniversary tucked away at Sparrows Lodge. Our room was gorgeous, the bathtub & shower were dreamy. We felt very safe with the attention to safety on the property, and loved that each room has it's own back private patio. The covid safe breakfast was lovely, and the camp mugs made for a special touch. We ended up dining onsite on all three of our nights on the property, the food was tasty and the beer and wine selection made us happy. The sage-ing of the pool area midday, along with the afternoon offering of cheddar goldfish, made us feel relaxed and loved. Thank you Sparrows Lodge for the perfect getaway, we look forward to our return

As the lodge is opening up soon, I felt that I had to leave a review of our stay in February. We booked into the lodge as they appeared to be dog friendly. We were on a road trip cross country from RI to LA and wanted to have a relaxing stay in Palm Springs before driving to the coast. Firstly although Sparrows Lodge is in the city, it is secluded and tranquil. The rooms are themed as luxurious bunkhouses, a little dark for older eyes but hey it’s part of the overall vibe. Breakfast is self service and very tasty, as are the daytime snacks and cocktails. Our dog was allowed to wait by the pool as we swam and she enjoyed the private yard at the back of our room plus access to walks in the abutting residential area. She was also given a soft toy as a welcoming present. It’s actually her favorite toy she has ever had in her 13 years. Hopefully we will be able to visit again soon. Although small there is a beautiful garden, tables under shaded greenery, fire pits, tranquil fountain and beautiful artwork.

I’m a fan of easy and this small hotel made everything easy. I could fall out of my room and have their free continental breakfast. I always found a lounge chair at the pool. I ate meals from their inventive menu under an orange arbor, again just steps from my room. I often did not lock my room because I could see it from where I was.

Not only was the hotel easy but it was decorated tastefully with two public structures. One was the cozy room you pass through when you open the door. It had a guitar available to guests and a gas fireplace that was always lit. Plenty of books around.

Once you pass the pool, you enter the second small structure. This serves as the hotel lobby, the breakfast area, an interior place to have meals and a place to order drinks and snacks.

The guest rooms surround the pool and in the back, the orange arbor. A word about the rooms. They are old and feel original and we loved them but I can understand how some people might not. They are dark and there are no dressers and only a few spots to hang your clothes. But there is a great shower and a small backyard terrace that’s nice for hanging out in. Again, I loved it but you need to be someone who can embrace old things and not be upset that all the modern conveniences are not there.

The service here is top notch. All the help was friendly (especially Justice) as was Ryan the general manager.

Yes, the parking lot is a little small BUT we were able to hang out at the pool the entire day of our red eye flight. That’s great. There is even an outdoor shower and two large bathrooms to change in if you want to swim the entire day of your departure.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our stay at the SPARROW was made even more incredible by the great staff.
It was my husbands 60th birthday and they made it a very special weekend.
Champagne, flowers on the bed an a bag of treats and toys for our dog, who is still mad we left.
We could not stop eating the food, and the fresh watermelon margaritas and lavender ice towels were crazy good. The staff makes you feel at home and this property is the reason we prefer smaller boutique hotels and especially the SPARROW LODGE. We are heading back soon!

We stayed for two nights at the end of March before heading to see family in LA. We loved all the spaces that have been created for hanging out and relaxing. The vibe is rustic and comfortable. With only 20 rooms the Sparrow is very intimate and private. The pool area is stylish, the outside gathering areas are tastefully appointed and comfortable. We sat by the fire pit in Adirondack chairs each morning after breakfast. A continental breakfast buffet is set up each a.m. with simple yet perfect choices. We took the hotel's bikes out and rode around the neighborhoods, went on hikes which were very close to the property and I had a massage with Alex in the massage tent which was excellent (definitely request Alex if you are booking a massage). Only negatives - rooms are very dark including bathroom area (no added make up mirror light), and grounds and rooms would be difficult to navigate with those who have a hard time walking. Stay at the Sparrow for a low key, unpretentious and very comfortable vacation.

After our initial confusion as where to go to check in and park our car (parking is very limited) (I just called the number provided for guests), our experience at Sparrows Lodge was pure bliss. Our room by the pool was exactly as described, cozy with that rustic feel, no TV, very little storage and quiet. We took advantage of this and packed light, unplugged from work life and just chilled by the pool with a good book. My favorite thing to do in the morning was to take my complimentary breakfast (awesome by the way) to our little outdoor patio behind our room and chill before it got too hot. I can only take so much sun so I was very happy to relax on the chaise outside our room, protected from the direct sun, and feel the cool mist pass over me and listen to the trickle of the water flowing from the fountain nearby. I did see a lot of shenanigans by the pool with people reserving with their towels, books, suntan lotion chaises by the pool in several spots to take advantage of the sun and shade. This occurred mostly on the weekend and was not the Lodges fault in any way! Some people..... It was the perfect oasis to return to after exploring all that Palm Springs has to offer. Which is a ton.
I would be neglectful if I did not mention how awesome the staff was at Sparrows Lodge!! They did try to anticipate your every need and responded quickly to our requests. More coffee, towels, a drink or snacks. NP. We did not dine at the Lodge because we had so many restaurant recommendations, but we did listen to Brian (Manager) when we checked out and went to their sister hotel, Holiday House, for lunch. That review will come later on.
Lastly, we will be thanking our friends (Bill and Judy) for a long time for this great recommendation!!!

I spent my birthday at this adorable, boutique-style hideaway in the heart of Palm Springs. Love that it's adults only and the cabin vibe of the rooms. The soaking tubs are perfect for tall folks and each room has a private back patio. I had an incredible massage as part of the Purification Ritual and would return just for that! The hotel has lots of thoughtful touches, like giving you a bundle of sage and a matchbook when you check out.

I've tried multiple times over the years to write a review of Sparrows Lodge but I always stop half way through as I am worried I will not find the words to do this property justice. There truly are not enough positive adjectives to describe the perfection that is Sparrows Lodge. You feel as if you are staying with friends at their place or at a bed and breakfast. You can get whatever you wish from the property - peace and quiet alone or you are guaranteed to meet lovely people if you’re looking to converse with others. My husband and I have stayed at a lot of places in Palm Springs, all of the popular spots - The Parker, The Ace etc and once we stayed at Sparrows for the first time we have never been back to the others and never will. We have now been there 10 + times and stayed as well while we got married. The INCREDIBLY hard working staff go above and beyond and they are always so sweet in welcoming us back.

All of the staff onsite have always been amazing. We have known Desi the longest and she more so just feels like seeing an old friend when we arrive at this point. She is so sweet, attentive and she is one of the reasons we will continue to go back. We have also gotten to know Chris the GM of the propertie(s) and he couldn’t be more helpful and kind. He goes above and beyond for us and is absolutely wonderful. The housekeeping staff are so fun and sweet as well and are always ready to greet you with a big smile. CONT'D IN COMMENTS

The staff continually went above and beyond to make our stay incredible - special shout-out to Gabe for dining service, and Steve for the best massage I have ever had.

The chicken salad sandwich on the lunch menu was so delicious that we ordered it almost every single day. This says a lot about Sparrows, given that they took a simple sandwich and made it a feature and repeat experience throughout our stay. We talked to other guests about this as well and they had the same positive reviews!

The lodge was tastefully curated and the quality of everything from room decor, food offerings and availability, cleanliness, and tranquility of the space exceeded our expectations.

This was our first time to Palm Springs and we will be returning and staying here again without question.

What an amazing time we had at the Lodge. After a crazy few days of Modernism week we were overwhelmed by sensory overload and it was a nice place to relax and rest from the craziness. From the comfortable beds and pillows to the well stocked bathroom, everything was perfect but it's the extra touches that make it worth the trip. We loved walking into our room and smelling the scent they had in our room but the best part was the fact that they burn sage on the property and the cleansing smell was so amazing. I looked forward to that every day. Steven at the spa gave one of the best massages I've ever had and Cody and the staff were very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Hello, i am sure there are no children allowed under the age of 18. But smoking, I have not seen a sign for it that it is not allowed. I think in the garden, pool side they let you smoke! To be 100 % sure mail the Lodge! It is such a special place, calme and nice, friendly!
