My husband and I decided to stay here last minute for a couples getaway and La Serena Villas exceeded our expectations. From the individual touches in the villa, to the customer service and hotel grounds, we loved everything. Their restaurant, Azucar, has a great rooftop seating area over looking over the mountains. We can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic! La Serena Villas are absolutely perfect. Perfect villa, perfect pool, perfect restaurant, perfect staff, perfect grounds, perfect size, just perfect in every way. We travel quite a bit domestically and and have stayed in everything from bedbug-ridden-fleabag-motels, to the most luxurious properties anywhere and we were completely enchanted by La Serena Villas. The staff was excellent. Attentive, kind, caring and unbelievably accommodating (Laura, Robert and Lorena to name a few), The staff was so unbelievably keyed in to our cues while anticipating what we needed or wanted be fore we did. A very special group for sure. The room was off the charts. We had a suite and it was perfection (reminded us of the updated villas at the Ojai Valley Inn but nicer). Beautifully decorated, with a full kitchen, great bed and bedding, a private yard with a spa and fire pit. It was amazingly quite on the property and the rooms even more so. Unlikely for its location, so close to downtown. The pool is my place and can make or break a property for me. Well, the pool is perfection as well, with day beds and teak lounges. The restaurant Azucar boarders the pool and serves both great food and drink at the pool, for what you would come expect from a place of this caliber. Azucar (the restaurant) has a succinct and healthy menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the combination of quality and taste. A Laid back, laissez-faire vibe, but it’s just a front, the quality and care is in the cuisine. Both my wife and I are from families that have spent many a year in Palm Desert, La Quinta and Rancho Mirage area, mostly in the larger country club developments. We had spent much time in Palm Springs proper (and didn’t want to) since high school. We had always thought of downtown as a tourist trap and generally a waste of time. Well, we feel that way no longer! Palm Canyon is alive and well with eclectic shops and several great restaurants. Now, finally there is a killer place to stay as well. The owner, Lars, this dude gets his own paragraph. First of all, he owns three properties within 100 feet of each other. La Serena Villas, Del Marco Hotel and The Three Ffity. All properties are all unbelievable, one as wonderful as the next. Yet completely different. Lars is a laidback, casually cool, surfer, who’s attitude and vibe had us feeling like we were on a surf trip with old friends, or in an Bruce Brown film. Great dude. To sum it up, La Serena Villas are absolutely special in every way. It’s a true boutique hotel, focused on doing everything right and making every detail count. What they do, they do better than anybody.

Best hotel in all of Palm Springs. Not only is the hotel the nicest, down to every last detail, but what really makes it stand out, are the people that work there. Laura is such a breath of fresh air. She knew exactly the room to book for me over the phone. She really nailed it, my favorite villa at any hotel in Palm Springs. When I arrived, I was lucky enough to have Laura there to greet me in person. So refreshing to be greeted with a warm smiling face. It’s the little things, that make all the difference. I’m already planning my next trip back.

I cannot express how perfect this hotel is. The property is gorgeous and peaceful. Upon entering the room, you get a mini tequila bottle with ready to go shot glasses, salt and lime, so fun! Our room was amazing- there is a huge living room, kitchen, patio with a dip pool AND fireplace! I spent 90% of my time on that patio and in that pool. One of my favorite features was the glass water jugs they leave you in the fridge and as you run out of water, they have a refill station in the lobby! All employees within the hotel were happy and willing to assist at any moment. Another wonderful feature are the breakfast baskets! Whenever you are ready for breakfast, you simply call the front desk and within minutes we were eating on our patio. It comes with muffins, jam, fresh orange juice, yogurt, fresh fruits, house made granola, hard boiled eggs and coffee! This alone made it so that we didn’t have to leave the room until dinner! I almost forgot the champagne and salt water taffy we received while checking in! Which is just such a nice touch, as all the little details they provide are. This stay has brought me and my new husband much needed peace and true relaxation. Trust me- you want to stay here.
