A shout-out to Joe, the General Manager, for making our stay easy. Joe gave us valuable tips for getting to Sandstorm on-time. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a great view out over the pool and beyond.

May be suffering from the challenges of understaffing, but the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel for the price. No one at reception desk for 10 minutes upon arrival, very strange for a hotel of this size. Room was dirty, bathtub with sitting water and a clogged drain, broken TV, not enough pillows and blankets, or pool towels - requests to the front desk were acknowledged but never actually fulfilled. Although the receptionist did bring me 2 dirty pillows from the back of the reception office when I went down to follow up. No food or snack options on site, although many restaurants nearby. It’s a good location but run down property and very poor service that is overpriced.

I think the main part of the hotel has been renovated but the cabana rooms have not and are extremely old and loud! The outside bar is nice but there's not that much staff left to run this place. I think they've closed off most of the rooms because there's nobody to clean. Pretty high priced considering the condition of our room

While the general manager was kind, it was the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. Not anywhere near 4 star. After paying for a $75 upgrade to have access by the pool, we found the bathroom door handle did not lock, bathroom fixtures had rust, cabinetry was damaged with raw wood showing and bottoms scraping the floor where they shouldn't. Despite the room title listing two plush double beds, the second bed was actually a sleeper sofa that was the most uncomfortable known to humankind. The bedding, blankets and pillows for it were not in the room and were not delivered to the room until nearly 10pm after asking 6 hours before. The general manager was kind and seemingly trying to respond on a busy weekend, but the state of disrepair in the hotel was beyond anything short of full renovation. Parking was $25 for one night which I did not see mentioned anywhere previously. Breakfast for two cost $45 in the hotel lobby. A room listed as $280 ended up costing $450. Stay far away from this one. Splurge on a nicer, newer hotel that includes the extras without hidden fees because at least you won't spend $500 to sleep on the most uncomfortable sleeper with a thin blanket and not even a comforter.

You can listen or not, your choice, but this had to be one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever been at. Walked into the room and was immediately hit with a foul stench. It smelled like a complete lack of upkeep and poverty. The bathtub had black mold all around and the air conditioning return was BLACK. We never even opened our suitcases and left. The desk personnel did not care at all.
