The Mojave Resort is a renovated old motel. The owners did a great job with the renovations, and it is very cute! The pool area is nice, and since it is adult only, you won't have noisy splashy kids running around (I love kids, but not when on an adult vacation). For some reason, we never received maid service on our stay. We had the privacy thing off our door and saw the housekeepers with their cart 2 doors away when we left at noon. We went to the pool, fell asleep, and figured our room was serviced. When we returned to our room hours later, the housekeepers were gone and our room had not been serviced. Not a huge deal, but for the $700+ we paid for 2 nights, we had to go in search of coffee pods, creamer, and tp up at the front office. The free breakfast is very average....2 muffins (both different types, so be the early bird to get first pick), 2 cups of yogurt, 2 bittles of oj, and 1 apple and 1 banana. Fresh baked goods also would have been greatly appreciated for the cost of the stay. Or, perhaps on the card you place outside your room, you should have the option to indicate which items/flavors you would like in your breakfast box. We had a room with an adjoining door to the room next door. There is no soundproofing on the door so you could hold a conversation through it with the people next door. The people next door thankfully went to bed pretty early, so again, no issue. The location is great and walkable to many places.

The bed is very comfortable, pool area with fire pits was very inviting. The breakfast isn't really a special thing as it's the same items you'd find at a free breakfast at a value chain....just comes in a cute midmod cooler. The rooms have great amenities and staff is extraordinarily helpful

We really enjoyed our short two-night stay at the rejuvenated Mojave Resort on a particularly chilly January weekend. The king bed was huge and the pillows were perfect (my fiancé is very picky). Love all the vintage touches, stylish lamps, and cool snack and drink options in the room. I would love to see a couple more towel hooks/holders in the bathroom for bathing suits etc. & our room didn’t come with the cute bath robes that I saw other guests with which was apparently due to a laundry issue. Very sweet staff with a lovely nightly ritual of free drinks at sundown. The complimentary breakfast is cute, though the baked goods a wrapped in plastic & taste like something from 7/11. They have Nespresso coffee machines which I’m not a fan of (coffee snob), but plenty of places nearby to get coffee & no I don’t drink basic Starbucks. The resort was peaceful & quiet, we had the pool & hot tub to ourselves for the 20 mins we needed it after getting back from dinner. Really nice facilities! Would definitely stay again.

To ALL FUTURE AND PAST GUESTS..the resort charges $25 a night for service dogs! According to ADA guidelines this is against the law. I did contact the front desk after departure and they were very firm on the fee. I contacted ADA and a few days later I noticed a credit of $25 per night.

So i would like to Thank Bruno and Al for their patience during our stay since we were evacuated and the reservation kept changing. One item I would fix is the shade pull be actually ON THE DOOR and not above it- there’s a total lack of security and privacy not being able to close off your room when leaving. The fridges are filled to the brim w/unnecessary drinks when I really wanted room for my coffee creamers and dips for crackers. As a side note, we would stay for longer if you had a washer/dryer available. (Wink)

Thanks again for being our favorite spot in the desert for the last 28 years!

Coming into Plam Desert for work, we were trying to find a place that wasn't too expensive and had high ratings. Wow, what a great find, the Mojave Resort. Checking in was a breeze and the people working there were very kind and couldn't do enough for us. Look's like the rooms and the property were recently renovated and had a very cool mid-century vibe. They had a large courtyard pool with a nice sized hot tub and 2 fire pits. In the morning they deliver to you a very nice continental breakfast. We will absolutely be back.

The only downside was the room we were in had a window air conditioner that was SOOOOO loud it kept us up the entire night. And, they could use a nice bar.

Very impressed with the facility and would highly recommend

They've done such an amazing job remodeling this resort, somehow managing to make it feel fresh and modern without losing the vintage style. It was really hot when we were there, so I loved having a beautiful and comfortable room to escape the heat, and meeting at the pool for a night swim when the temperatures dipped a bit. The room, the pool area, the morning breakfast boxes, the bicycles, the staff... all excellent! I cannot wait to stay again.

Based on their write up, I was expecting a neat stay at a luxurious retro motel. Still felt that way cutting through a well kept courtyard with a pool and mature fauna. That ends when you walk in the room. Dirty carpeting, shabby furniture which needs refinishing, only 1 robe, shabby drapes. The wall ac unit is appropriately retro, but at least put in temp control units so they don’t have to run all night. The continental breakfast.. packaged sweet roll, cheap bagels, 2 cereals served in a room where the carpet seems to have been used in an auto repair shop. This place could yearly be cool if the owners put some money into it. Take a pass

Hi there. I did like the south side better, but do not be concerned about the Shadow Mountain Drive side, as Palm Desert is very quiet at nighttime. Very, very little traffic after 10:00 pm or so. While you are there, be sure to have breakfast at Wilma and Frieda (in the shopping center upstairs from Tommy Bahama and Saks Fifth Avenue). Absolutely the best breakfast / lunch in the area. And, oh my, the pastries!!!
