Warning. I do mean warning your life may depend on it. We checked in and my wife first went to wash her hands. Sink was clogged. She then went to the bathroom. Clogged toilet. No one able to fix. They wanted to know if we wanted to stay in the room. Duh right. So we got a room without a view and a stinky carpet. My wife pulled back to sheet to find a hair not hers. So it took me a while to figure out later that means they didn’t CLEAN the sheets, sink, toilet AT ALL!!!! With Covid. We stayed since my son who got out of the Army was with us and his girlfriend we got them a room with hot and view. There TV didn’t work. They to make up for terrible experience was $60. For a 300 room. By the way we did stay there 2 weeks in row before this. The hot tube and view Are why the beds are old and not that great but now after the way we were treated we will never …
The hotel rooms that advertise full ocean views are very misleading for the price. They overlook the parking lot and are completely outdated. The front staff “manager” Danielle, is less than accommodating to customer concerns and needs. When asked to speak with another manager she refused to give me another name. It wasn’t until I continued to ask her multiple times in front of other guests that she forfeited another managers name. Who she then referred to as her “partner.” I would NOT recommend this hotel at all. Very disappointed with our (King Full Ocean View) room and rate. Not to mention the lack of customer service from Danielle. In this day and age, there are too many establishments to ever stay in a place like this. Even the location can’t make up for our experience.
i found Pacifica Beach Hotel on Google as i was working in Santa Cruz Tues and San Francisco Wed so needed a hotel along the way and convenient to get to SF in the am.. i have had bad experiences with ok hotels in not ok areas... at the end of a long work/driving day i pulled into Pacific Beach Hotel and the site was a jaw dropper.. i just say there in my car and was amazed about the image of this beautiful building on a beautiful locations facing the ocean. I was welcomed by a very friendly front desk person, and the room was clean and comfy. Checked out the onsite restaurant for dinner and was not that impressed, then realized i was just 12min to World Famous Joe’s of Westlake.. a fav from my childhood., Took a while to find parking but got a counter seat right away. Next morning for check out, i met front desk clerk Gloria, and what a sweetheart! Can’t wait to go back and maybe bring the hubby to enjoy this great spot! …
Just booked this week for my Wife and My anniversary! We love this Hotel and the staff is exceptional here. We just meet Janine at the front desk this evening and OMG she made our experience the best we’ve had yet. So much fun, easy to talk to, and incredibly HELPFUL! Went above and beyond to make our experience a once in a lifetime, thank you so much for your help and your time! You’re the best, can’t wait to stay here again!
I spent a couple of nights at the Pacifica Beach Hotel starting on December 27th of 2019 with my GF and our BFF. We were pretty excited about having an "indoor" pool and a Peruvian restaurant on the premises, not to mention an ocean view. Upon arrival I had the pleasure of checking in with Sasha. She was the person I booked the room through. Nice personality and fun to talk to. Once we walked in we unknowingly had a Jacuzzi tub in the room. Cool. The room was decent, albeit a little dated. It had a microwave and pretty large mini-fridge. We used both. We also used the Jacuzzi tub. That was pretty nice. The view of the ocean was nice (wish the power lines weren't there!). On the disappointing side were the two beds; they were smaller and uncomfortable. The shower was very small as well. The "indoor" pool was not all that great. Could have been warmer and the pool underwater surfaces cleaner. The interior of the building where the pool is had mold, rust and rotted wood areas. They also liked to keep the doors and window open which kind of kills the "indoor" concept. It was chilly inside and thus made it less enjoyable. Certain buildings needed a facelift-painting at least-that included rusty air conditioning/heating units. One real issue I had was that Destiny, the morose colleague of the nice Sasha, didn't seem to realize people go through towels when there is a pool and an in-room Jacuzzi. On top of that there was three of us. I booked the room as three people. When we arrived there were only two towels in the room. So we had to ask for another one right away. There were no pool towels in the room OR the pool area. On top of that, when we finally DID get pool towels they were small and worn out. The restaurant was great with an interesting menu. It took a while to figure out what to order, but we were very happy with what we decided on. Also, the buffet breakfast was really good, although limited. Overall the visit was a mixed bag all around. The pics you'll see are better than reality and I would have preferred to avoid Destiny and just deal with Sasha. I wasn't happy with the pool and it was a big seller to us water folks. Going forward I plan on visiting the restaurant again, but that's it.…
