I made an online booking for the hotel for one night stay in Sept 2019. When we got there around 9:00PM that day, there were no rooms. The inn owner told us that she would make one room available in one hour. We went out for a late dinner and were no longer be able to got connected to the owner by numerous calls. We had to make a quick booking and stayed at the other hotel. The owner refuses to give us the full refund and we are still in dispute after three months.

This Bed and Breakfast Inn is nicely located for travelers who enjoy exploring an area by walking. It is an easy walk to area restaurants, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, and fantastic views of Monterey Bay. Rooms are comfortable, the outdoor areas beautifully maintained and the common areas offer a perfect venue for afternoon wine and breakfast.

A nice inn they are no longer a B&B but have coffee, rolls, etc. Parking is a little tight but plenty of parking on the street.Restaurants are within walking distance. Within easy walking to the beach. Super nice staff, really helpful. You do have to walk up stairs to get to the second floor. We would stay there again.

The property is very much welcoming, the rooms are personalized and there is a warm feeling of walking into your own house. The drawing room is peaceful and allows you to relax in front of a fireplace. There is a dining room - which I believe is no longer in use as the new owners discontinued the plush abundant breakfast they had in the past.. which was a bit of a disappointment as it was their forte for many years..Apart from that change, I still enjoyed the location, a block from the ocean and very close to the aquarium - which is a must . I do recommend staying in this place..quite lovely and charming..

We have stayed many times here and we always loved it. I would have given it 5 stars in the past. They no longer have the wine and cheese hour, the homemade cookies available and delicious breakfast. They run on minimal staff now and no one is around to check you in. You get a combination emailed to you and that is how you unlock your door. The homey feeling it once had, is gone. Even the gardens weren’t what they once were. Not much in the way of anything flowering. I’ve heard it’s up for sale. I hope whoever buys it will bring it back to what it once was. But unless that happens we will stay somewhere else next time we visit the area. Although I must say one of the pleasures of visiting the area was always our stay at what was once an excellent B&B. What remains good is the location just a block away from the coastal trail and an easy walk to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Parking is good as well and it’s a short distance to many good restaurants. The room was clean and maintained. We stayed in the Bay View. If you stay, I recommend a room away from the main road as it was pretty noisy. In the past we had a much quieter room away from the busy road and though it was smaller, that was better.
