Awesome location - we had a king suite - large sitting room - rear patio seating area - microwave - refrigerator - coffee maker and fireplace - Great Value for the area -definitely will be back again - close to Pacific Grove Golf Course (poor...More
After 25 years of staying at the Rosedale Inn, I am sorry to say that we won't be coming back.
It basically has 3 problems:
2. Tattered, worn, outdated furnishings.
3. Poorly maintained grounds.
The complimentary continental breakfast is meager, at best (i.e....More
They overbooked their rooms and after a long day of travel we were left without a place to stay. I had even secured a room with a 300 pre-auth. When we arrived the front desk wouldn't help us find an alternative hotel and was very...More
Rooms are average condition and age, good deal for the money.
Very friendly service and nice location with walking distance to view sunsets on the beach.
Will be back again, hopefully owner will update all rooms as needed.
Great location on Asilimar and one of several unique motels in the area. Room was average at best. Bring extra socks or slippers to wear in the room. You won't want to be barefoot on the carpet!
The breakfast room was absolutely TERRIBLE!! Only choices...More

The room we had did have a fireplace but given it was very hot we did not use it so maybe it is just for appearences! To be honest with you we did not like the place for several reasons including the fact that is was a dark and a bleak room. Sadly after the event we were told of a much better place and that was called the GOSBY HOUSE INN run by the Foursisters group I know it’s more expensive but with the bad feeling we had at the Rosedale next time we will be staying there for sure.
As mentioned by deganwy If you get to stay in the area go for a meal at the Beach house restaurant and if you can get there before 5:30 and ordered there are significant saving on very and I mean very tasty meals plus cocktails- you will not be disappointed that I am sure of.
Have a great time we just love it down there.
