We enjoyed cycling with the free bicycles by the river, loved the full kitchen facilities, and most of front desk receptionists are super nice.
Sadly, we did not get good night sleep most of the nights because the occupants on top floor were up and...More
From the outside, it doesn't look too exciting. But once you step into the lobby and then go to your suite, wow! Unlike a lot of places that post great photos and then don't live up to them, Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley is...More
Fun weekend enjoying all that Squaw Valley as to offer. Upgrades to rooms and property have continued. Try biking to Tahoe City along the Truckee River. New staff members are great!! Wine festival in the village was great fun.
My wife and I wanted a getaway from the Inland Empire area of California so we booked a week at the Red Wolf Lodge at Squaw Valley (Lake Tahoe). It is located where the 1960 Olympics were held. We had a very nice time inspite...More
I'm sure in the winter this place is really great because it has direct access to the lifts, but in the summer it's pretty nice, too. We had a smooth check-in with a friendly host. It is a timeshare property, so there are many perks...More

you should start getting a light frosting on the mountain at the time you're going in November. my sister-in-law lives about 40 minutes away from Lake Tahoe so I'm very familiar with the weather and the general area degrees wise at night late twenties midday upper fifties. as far as hiking trails weather permitting if there's not a lot of snow on the ground there's plenty of trails that you can hike. there's plenty exploring hiking to do just be sure to do your research and don't underestimate the weather when you go in the Heights you definitely are going to the right place

In house activities include a Monday morning welcome breakfast, wine and cheese night, movie night, picture frame painting, guided snow shoe hike, holiday treat decorating, hot apple pie (hard cider), s'mores by the firepit etc. Squaw Valley resort offers skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sledding, tubing etc. The weather is unpredicatable, but we recommend you prepare for winter weather ranging from the 20's to the 50's.
1. You will need chains if it snows.
2. Ice skating, tubing, sledding.
3. Please view the following websites for other activity information in and around the lake. squawalpine, gotahoenorth, tahoe and yes, Reno is worth a visit as well.
4. There is a small market located in The Village at Squaw Valley, but for grocery shopping you will need to go to the Safeway in Truckee (10mi) or the Savemart or Safeway in Tahoe City (7mi). There are no malls in Lake Tahoe, however Reno does have an indoor mall.
5. We do not have a pool onsite. We have 3 heated outdoor spas.
We look forward to your visit in March and please do not hesitate to call us with any additional questions at 530-583-7226.
