We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel architecture is lovely, and the hotel is huge, so you'll be able to find the room that suits you (views make up for the decor). Restaurant seating was outdoors, and air space was navigable. The golf course is stunningly Olivia-Coleman-rolling-lawn beautiful, and if you're not a golf club type there's still plenty to do. We enjoyed a small batch honey tasting with their knowledgable passionate beekeeper, and it was fascinating- a bit like an educational wine tasting. We loved it. The adult pool was soothing, the cocktails fabulous, and the burger I spotted looked good enough to cheat over. Oak Restaurant was good but Olivella was stunning, and they easily accommodated my dietary needs. There's magic, with lanterns hanging from oak trees, and views that always encourage you to exhale. There were still sightings of overprivileged and overindulged folks, but they’re easy to avoid (as if I'm not one of them). Ojai is an easy walk and decent hikes are easily accessed from there. Try the LOVE cafe in town, aptly named, because the hostess and lunch are super. Cutting some slack at annoying missteps at the hotel was easy, because they're really trying to make you comfortable, and the front line staff is Phenomenal. We were told more than once how much they appreciated us- always nice to hear- and if this virus has taught us anything, it is to appreciate hard working folks who don't have the privilege to sit it out. I would highly recommend OVI.

Everything was better than I imagined. The accommodations, the weather, the venue, the views, the service. Even the follow-up emails were kind and as gracious as the entire staff. We will most certainly return!

We just returned from a wonderful stay at the Ojai Valley Inn! Between the grounds, prompt and courteous service, and the tranquil spirit of the Inn we cannot wait to return. Check in was fast, they took our luggage quickly out of our car so we could begin our stay. Our room was ready when we arrived even though we didn’t ask for an early check in. Our room was lovely and they made sure and turn down the pull out bed for my 4 year old every night. The service at all the restaurants was great with wonderful food. We had fun days at the Pixie Pool and cool evenings toasting s’more‘s by the fire pit. Even though there is a pandemic, they still had some activities for the kids. We can not wait to return. This is truly a 5 star resort!

Booked room thru AMEX FHR program. Because the property was at capacity, was unable to get room upgrade or early check in. Did use the amenity credit and breakfast credits and late check out. (NB - because dining capacity was limited, the property limited the number of available rooms to ensure that the dining rooms would not be overwhelmed) . Room was well appointed. However we were fairly close to the building entrance on the first floor, so there was A LOT of noise from guests entering and talking amplified by the hard floors. No valet service due to COVID, but at check in, valets used golf carts to transfer luggage to room from parking lot. To get around the vast property, there was every 10-15 minute cart service. On property, used the spa pool and main pool, played tennis (make reservations). Wished we had time to ride their bikes and have a picnic. Spa was closed due to COVID. Excellent dining fare - dinner at Olivella (world class) and breakfasts at the Oak. Will definitely return post COVID to try out the spa...

The cuisine was so delicious that we stayed from breakfast through dinner AND played a round of golf while there after a trip to Santa Barbara down to La Jolla. The farm-to-table dishes amid the beauty of the resort was equally incredible.
