I'm so relieved the over priced

This was a last minute getaway for my husband and I. The smaller rooms were booked but I called anyway to see if there were any cancellations. We were able to get a private cottage, The Raven, a 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage at a...More
While the town of Ojai is dry-looking and dominated by Spanish Colonial architecture, the Emerald Iguana Inn is a tropical fantasy, with lush vegetation and vaguely Gaudi-esque architecture.

Stayed in the Gekko Cottage and really enjoyed it. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, sitting area and kitchen was even more space than we needed. The best part of this place is the privacy; you really feel like you're in your own private location.
Awesome tranquil place to stay. Very nice accommodations. It's our sixth visit and we'll be back soon, as our most recent stay was too short for my liking. We stayed in the Feather Room and had no problems.

With numerous great hiking trails in the area you shouldn't have any problem enjoying the great scenery and sites around the hotel. The main street of Ojai is a gentle 1/2 mile down hill walk from the hotel, and the main commerce center stores are easily strolled on both sides of the blvd. Here you will find clothing botiques, restaurants, an ice-cream & candy shop a beautiful park and other interesting places. You must remember that Ojai is a small, laid back town that goes forward each day at their own speed, and the main goal in visiting is to slow down, relax leave the tablets and smart phones behind take a deep breath and smell the roses. Many of the best restaurants are not on the main blvd, but are within a short distance car travel from the hotel. Many of the other laid back activities, wine tasting, olive oil production and other tours bring some unusual side trips you could entertain.
The hotel can provide a list and reservations to some of the best restaurants and events in the area. Believe in their suggestions because they know of what they speek. Enjoy.........
