We had 3 Airstreams in a row. The beds were surprisingly comfy, but they are stingy on pillows. The place is tranquil and charming. We had a great time - we really enjoyed the shared outdoor space. The landscaping at this place is amazing! Very lush and private with each trailer feeling secluded. A great place to unwind. We will definitely come back...hopefully after the covid crisis is cleared because we did miss the firepit!
I sadly had to cancel my stay, and Paris was beyond amazing and accommodating about helping me get a full refund through the third party. I cant wait to come stay one day, I have heard such great things!!
The airstreams are remodeled beautifully. This was the perfect trip for me and my wife. It's near the end of the main town of Ojai and almost everything is within walking distance. We went during the COVID pandemic so there were quite a few restrictions and hours were pretty limited at a lot of the businesses but we still had an amazing trip. Caravan Outpost's staff were all REALLY friendly and helped us out tremendously to make the most of our trip.
The Adventure Buddies had the best time in Ojai at The Caravan Outpost! Such a unique cute place to stay like an oasis. You barely know it’s there on a side street, right next to a great bike path where they let you rent cool yellow bikes. We loved the community tables to eat dinner and talk with others staying in the neighboring trailers. The airstream itself easily accommodated our family of 4 with a kitchen outfitted with a stove, microwave, sink, refrigerator, and freezer. The trailers had AC which was nice, your own table and chairs to sit and enjoy the Outpost. They were taking all the necessary COVID precautions to keep us safe but normally they have a fire pit and outdoor games to play. We had the best time, highly recommend!
The resort is beautiful. It's an oasis in the middle of town. There are so many things going for it that it should be a 5-star resort. But, at the same time, there are issues for me. The staff is great and very helpful. The trailers are very nice with what they have. But what they don't have will keep me from going back. There is a community fire pit, which is very nice. Everyone can sit around the evening fire and chat and make smores. But if you're going here just because it's different from a motel room, be aware they do not provide soap. So be sure to bring your own. If you're just staying a night or two then you probably won't care there is no private grill at your trailer. So you have to eat at restaurants. And maybe for a night you can do without a tv. I'm a glamper. I "camp" at nice places. When I go I take my dog for several days. I expect a grill to make my evening meals. I EXPECT a tv. Nowhere does it say they don't have tv. They want people to mingle. In the mornings for breakfast and when I retire to the trailer for the evening, I want a tv. I tried to watch shows on my computer, but the internet isn't very good here. I have stayed at other Airstream campgrounds and although there may be small issues, they always have a grill and tv. Because of these two missing items, I won't be going back. But for a one night stay, I definitely would recommend it.…
