Was looking for a solid place for a one night stay and this place fit the bill. Check in was efficient and the room was fine. Beds were comfortable and shower pressure was decent. Liked having the extra pillows. Breakfast was either coffee or a bottle of juice and a prepackaged muffin. Only negatives was the tv was hard to work and the wireless internet was pretty much nonexistent. Easy access right off the highway and didn’t notice any highway noise.
This place is clean and the staff is pleasant, but only towards a certain type of people, if you Black, forget about the nice rooms or rooms with the harbor view, staff only lets one group of people, white people in the back to enjoy the view. Otherwise, staff will make sure you stay in front or on the side facing the Garbage can.
We have been staying here biweekly for the past 2 years, we love this place! We call it our home away from home. The place is clean and the staff is very nice. We especially love Edith she is so sweet and very accommodating and attentive to our needs and always puts a smile on our face! Great location with view of the ocean and harbor as well as a trail down to harbor and beach. There is lots of shops and great places to eat. Engulfed,we do! 😀
I really enjoyed my stay here. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. I didn’t want to pay a lot of money for a hotel that I wouldn’t be using except to sleep and shower. The room was definitely more than I expected and I had a great view! There is also a path behind the hotel that’ll take u right to the harbor.
We had a soccer tournament @ Socal sports complex. This hotel checked all our boxes. Conveniently located near the soccer fields. Restaurants within walking distance. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. Our biggest complaint was the pillows were small and uncomfortable.
We will definitely stay here again. The price was in budget and the property a little walk away from the ocean. Its also conveniently close to fast food, gas station etc. We stayed a few days for Christmas and then back again for New Year.
The staff we polite, my room was always clean, it was close to harbor village so i could walk, met a new friend, will stay here again. they did not have the normal breakfats due to covid. I ate out on the patoi and journaled everyday. i had a view of the ocean
Had a weeks stay here booked for work, they would not check me in because my company card did not have a chip in it. Went 3 miles down the road to another Days Inn and they had no issues with checking me in.
We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is older, but it was very clean. It's nice to be able to park right outside your door for unloading. We had to do laundry, and they give you a key so that you're the only one allowed in the room. There is only one washer and dryer, and the dryer didn't appear to dry very well. But we still appreciated the privacy. Surprisingly, there is a really nice path from the back of the hotel down to the beach area. You just follow the dirt path down a small hill, and under the railroad tracks. There are restaurants and shops and a nice Beach in that area. My biggest complaint was the horrible breakfast. The breakfast buffet area is closed and they only give you a prepackaged muffin or Danish, which were not tasty at all. It's not that I can't afford to go out and get breakfast somewhere, but when a hotel advertises that they serve breakfast, you kind of expect more! That's the reason why I deducted one star.…
The room was perfectly fine, A/C was great, location good - short-cut walk to harbor and nice views. But, the "Continental" breakfast was coffee or juice and one pre-packaged roll (to go -- they did not let you in the dining area). And the pool was cleaned 12:30 to 4:30 pm and we could not swim that afternoon (I got the hotel because it had a pool). So for those 2 reasons I would not choose this place again.
