I've stayed here many times over the years. It's minutes from Camp Pendleton and I have business there. I was assigned a room on the North side of the building and, it's been a couple years, forgot about the ''gentlemen's club'' next door. Couldn't hear the music but the ''bass'' came through until past midnight. The noise did keep me up. The deal breaker for me is the $200.00 ''damage fee'' charged when I checked in. I was told by ''Christopher'' at the front desk that my credit card would be credited when I checked out. Asked for further explanation the next day from ''Vinny'' at the front desk. He said there would only be a ''pending charge'' to my credit card, not an actual charge, and would get a receipt when I checked out. On check out, front desk woman told me she had no receipt, and couldn't access the computer file. It took 4 days to receive the ''credit'' to my credit card account. I've never been charged a ''damage fee'' at a hotel/motel in 50 years of traveling and, in the future, when making a reservation somewhere, will remember to ask if there is a ''damage fee.'' Unless this hotel changes it's policy, I won't stay here again.

I was back in my home town Oceanside, to see my grandma for her birthday. Everything was good until the next morning. I thought breakfast was served at 6AM, I was told by the clerk at the front Desk it starts at 6:30 so, I waited. When the time came for breakfast to be served I made myself a plate and noticed the eggs, bacon and biscuits were close to being cold so, I took my plate back up to my room to use the microwave to reheat the food...the microwave wasn't working, I checked to see if it was unplugged, it wasn't. I had to check out earlier so I could beat traffic because I had emergency back home. I needed to take a shower, Nothing but cold water was coming out, I give it about 10 minutes still just cold water. I'll check the sink to see if it had hot water, it did so, I tried the shower one more time... nothing but cold water, I took a cold shower because I was press for time. Upon checking out I Inform the clerk at the front desk about my unpleasant stay, he told me there was nothing he can do so I asked to speak to the manager, he informed me he didn't know when the manager was going to be in and didn't have a # to call her. I wrote a statement give it to the man at the front desk and ask him if he could give it to the manager. The manager gave me a call while I was on the road heading back home, I started explaining why my stay was unpleasant starting with the shower, The general manager interrupt me during my speaking Telling me she had no other customers complain about there not being hot water and then questioning the time I got my breakfast as if I did not come down and get breakfast and that I'm lying about the shower and also telling me that she needs to do an investigation and go over the cameras...I didn't know this was a crime scene. I asked her several times to not interrupt me while I was talking, she got upset told me she wasn't taking this from me and hung the phone up on me more than three times each time I will call back I will have to talk to the guy who's answering the phone who also wanted to put his opinion in it as well saying things like the manager called you three times you did not answer she's with another customer you'll have to call back in 10 minutes...I have to call back? When I finally got hold of the general manager again I asked her one more question, why wasn't this investigation of when I was speaking upon not handle at the time I brought to their attention while I was there no manager there to take care of my situation and ALL THE MANAGER COULD SAY WAS " I have many hotels I have to take care of I can't be everywhere at once I haven't got any complaints about the microwave it must've been unplugged nor have I gotten any complaints about the water being cold I can't check at this time because there are people in the room and they are not answering the phone." She made me feel like all I was trying to do was get a free night, she even said that to me that she was not going to give me a free night if that's what I was looking...During all this she kept interrupting me, I kept asking her not to, she said that's not how this works she's not taking this from me and hung the phone up on me again. I felt my color played a part in this yes I'm black but, I have no proof upon that but, I'm going to speak my mind and tell y'all that I feel. I stayed at many La Quinta's this was the worst one I've ever stayed it and I've never stayed in a bad La Quinta before lol I have now...next time I'll take pictures and videos.

The property is actually smaller than expected by photo shown in advertizement. It's located right next door to a gentelmen's club, though we didn't experience a problem from that. Staff failed to advise me that the internet router and phone assigned to my room was being replaced (not there). Discoved bedding on my side of bed smelled faintly of dog.

Recently my husband and I brought our dog to Oceanside to meet with old friends. We had great value and a lovely stay at the small and fresh La Quinta Inn in Oceanside. The dog was welcome for a thrifty $20 per night. The location of this LaQuinta was close to all that we needed. We walked to a great restaurants for dinner and brunch. We walked to the beach and enjoyed the pier and activities along the beach. It was perfect to stay at this friendly and super clean hotel and not get in our car all weekend!!

My family and I needed a place to stay while our house was being fumigated. This hotel fit that need! What a nice place to stay for a few nights! The staff was very friendly especially, Robert who checked me in and Vinny who checked me out. My only down mark was that I had to exchange my room keycard a few times as it either didn't let me in the parking lot door or my room. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel for locals and visitors alike. Freeway close and you can't hear the vehicle noise at night!. Looking for a place to stay for awhile? Stay here!
